Unfortunately, we were about an hour south of town IF the traffic was not an issue, which it generally was. The town of Tubac is quaint and historic and it was an easy walk to the handful of okay restaurants and a really impressive art center. Sadly, the area is a small reserve of beautiful and historic wild spaces wedged in between vast expanses of uncontrolled development and a major immigration Port of Entry, which were NOT charming. The community of the Barrio de Tubac has a pool and is bordered by a famous and historic trail, Juan Bautista de Anza trail, which we walked everyday when not biking. The house itself was small but adequate and had most of the basic household items (stock up on paper goods and pantry items). Sadly, it is just off the major freeway which can be heard 24/7\. We did get to see a herd of Javelinas, which were amazing. All the people we met in the community were very friendly and the architecture is interesting. ##### Alissa E. The townhouse was perfect! although it had two full bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths, we stayed mostly on the first floor. The kitchen was outfitted with everything one cold think of, except food and two major supermarkets were within 10 miles. The neighborhood was pretty and quiet. Neighbors we encountered were friendly and helpful. Owner took care of any issues we had within a very short time. We would definitely go back again. Also, private patio was delightful. The cleaning crew did a good job preparing the unit. The owner was immediately responsive when the AC unit went out, and they had a maintenance contract with an excellent local service company. The pool and the gym are excellent, and the location is perfect for exploring Southern Arizona. The furnishings were OK, but a little worn and eclectic. ##### James H.
