Whether you're visiting for a wedding, graduation at Cornell University, or a wine tour, this stunning vacation home offers the perfect mix of comfort and serene views. Inside, the open floor plan welcomes you with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sliding glass door that bring the sparkling lake right into the living and dining spaces. The fully equipped kitchen features plenty of island counter space, making meal prep easy and fun. The round dining table overlooks the lake, creating a lovely spot for shared meals. The main level includes a queen bedroom and a bathroom with a step-in shower, while upstairs you'll find the master bedroom with a king bed and another queen bedroom. A second full bathroom completes the upper level. The lower level offers an extra living room with a wrap-around sofa, perfect for streaming your favorite shows or cheering on the game. It also has a fourth bedroom with two twin beds and a third bathroom. Outside, lake life awaits. I have rented many homes that say they have a fully stocked kitchen, but Lone Retreat means it! Quality - and quantity - of everything you need to enjoy homemade meals during your stay. High-end appliances and coffeemakers, too. The beds are all comfortable; the linens and towels are good quality, too. The house is about 30 minutes from Ithaca and the last 10 minutes of the drive are on a gravel, single lane road that becomes steep at the driveway. The booking said it recommends "all wheel or 4 wheel drive"; we had no problem with our minivan and a small SUV but we made the trip to the house only once a day, preferring to do any errands (groceries, etc) while on our way back from a hike.
