All I'll say is if you are black or someone of colour just avoid, or else beware. I stayed for 2 nights with my nephew, we came over to see the northern lights, but someone called the police on us! apparently we were suspicious. I dont know how - we checked in and had breakfast like everyone else, except whilsts black.
Anyways, 2 cops knocked on my door and explained that they need to see our IDs which we duly complied and they left. I then went down to the reception to find out what happened and i met the same cops there, they told me they wanted to be sure we hadn't broken the covid quarantine rules. That's weird as when they came to my room they did not say that and they had walked in without protection and were happy to come close to me even though they thought i was a covid risk!!!.
I believe the hotel called them on us but they wouldn't admit it. I won't know why and am now left to speculate - 2 black tourists is a little suspicious for this hotel workers.
On a positive note we saw fantastic dancing northern lights.....
