This is a huge hotel, the basic rooms are VERY basic and too small for couples, ours didn’t have an accessible window, we upgraded to a superior room which was wonderful and had a beautiful panoramic view of the harbour and mountains, the upgrade price was very reasonable. They hold a lot of conferences and concerts so it can be very busy sometimes. All of the common areas need a good clean and the furniture is dirty and worn. The staff are nice and helpful and the location is perfect, there are excellent tea and coffee stations for use by anyone which is a nice touch and the front of house panoramic windows are really cool and they have a rooftop bar which looked really good. It’s not cheap, but then it’s Norway, but if you’re out and about most days and you get a superior room, you’ll enjoy it!
