We had a lovely three-night stay at Salona Palace Hotel and would definitely recommend it. It’s a very nice four-star hotel with good facilities, including a spa with a sauna. The outdoor pool is much larger than the indoor pool, although both were quite cold – not really an issue when it’s hot outside. A fantastic 5 star hotel. Stayed here for a weeks holiday. We just wanted somewhere to relax and unwind. The hotel was fully booked, but never felt full. There are three restaurants and we ate in all three. Really lovely food in each and they are able to cater to all tastes. Had 2nights here September. We were 2 couples wanting twin bed rooms. One very elderly man with limited mobility so we needed particular help on occasions. The staff were brilliant with him at all times. Also the transport the hotel arranged for us from the airport was excellent - a very pleasant young man who was prepared to go out of his way to help our gentleman through the old town to the hotel and went back for our cases. Excellent hotel, right on the beach, beautiful terrace restaurant to have breakfast. The photos don’t do it enough justice! 3min walk to the marina with lovely restaurants and paddle board / kayak hire etc. 30min bus to split, the bus stop is right outside the hotel, taxi from the airport is about €45 and takes about 40mins.
