We arrived about 6:30 on a rainy evening after a long and trying road trip from Sofia Bulgaria, and after being detoured from Google's preferred route due to road closure, crossing the not too friendly border into North Macedonia at a mountain pass, and nailed by a speed trap about 20 miles later. Icing on the cake was our car navigation system crapping out about mid-route. Luckily the map retained a small, encircled number 3, which we correctly interpreted to be the location of Diaos Hotel. Pulling into the only available curbside space at the entrance, we were warmly welcomed, luggage was unloaded and delivered to our room, and car was parked in on-site garage. Dinner in the on-site restaurant was a wonderful experience, the abundant Greek Salad leftovers were packaged and delivered to our room replete with China and stainless dinnerware. Service cannot be rated high enough. Room was spacious, corner balcony views of water surrounding two sides, fully supplied with every conceivable convenience. Particular kudos to porter and restaurant server. Would return in a heartbeat.
