We booked a balcony room overlooking the harbour with our dog. The staff on reception were wonderful. In our room there was a doggy welcome gift, treats toy poop bags. The room was large and comfortable. Robes slippers and a fan.
We should have prebooked a table in the pub as it was busy, and dogs not allowed in the gorgeous restaurant, so thankfully we sat outside. Food and views were great. Close enough to stroll into town. Small green area where the dog could do her business at night and in the morning with handy bins.
Hotel is very characterful. I would like to stay in the Florence Nightingale room next time. Parking around the hotel. Highly recommend.

Both the hydro pool and outdoor pool were closed and the seaside restaurant also closed early so limited choice of evening food.
We have been visiting for years but I find maintenance and upkeep of the hotel is not good - rooms disappointing and tatty.
Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent as always!
We made a decision not to return.

"Nice old fashioned mill in the countryside. Lovely staff. Room was basic but clean. Wifi free but spotty. Our room was directly over the bar so quite noisy at times with people coming and going to other rooms. Did quiet down around 10.30 both nights. Shower good. Bed ok. Best thing about our stay ..."
