We liked the food and thought that the staff were quite gracious. The welcome was warm, the room a bit tired and needing some update, but quite acceptable. We commented on a badly leaking tap, in light of water shortages in the area, but it was not fixed over our 2-day stay. Food was good and reasonably priced, the pool was nice but could do with some loungers for relaxing after a swim. As with almost all our Sri Lanka trip, staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our short stay. But found it was not. They serve chemical shampoos, TV set instead of wifi connection, it was really stressed... Ayurvedic Spa was nice, but not price worthy (means expensive) comparing to other hospitality servicers. Fantastic isolated retreat, ideal for bird watching. However it was a bit outdated. The TV channels were not clear and the AC in the rooms were not the greatest. The overall room cleanliness was good but they did miss a few spots. The towels were threadbare and need to be replaced immediately. The location is very peaceful and quite and the quality of service was very good.
