This hotel had a historic feel with a convenient location by the train station for our very early morning train. Even though it is historic feeling, this place has a lift! I wasn't expecting that, so what a bonus, although the staircase is also lovely. It was a short walk to the historic downtown and loads of restaurants for the evening. And although the neighbourhood itself felt a bit seedy when we arrived it seemed safe. The shower was the smallest I think I've seen but it worked, and the room was really well appointed. We didn't do the breakfast because of the early train but it was offered. I think this was good value for money.

We appreciated the responsiveness of the staff in not invoicing the days we needed to cut short and had pre booked. Very courteous staff.

We had a great stay! Nice that food served all day. Very helpful staff. Wonderful spa and decent little gym. Welcomed our little dog!
