It's a really good guesthouse if you want to stay for a longer time in Torshavn. The rooms, kitchen and bathrooms are in a realy good condition and the bathroom and kitchen get cleaned every day. That is for the price a nice service. The locaiten is a little bit outside the city center but it is in a quit corner of the city so you have really quite nights and in the same way short walks to the supermarkets and the center.

Quiet residential area.walkable distance to the town centre.clean room.very noisy kitchen with no door.only one toilet and shower per multiple rooms.dirty smelly mouldy shower curtain.disappointed.would not stay again.definitely wouldn't recommend it

Basic accommodation. Clean and spacious rooms. Bathrooms(1 shared per floor) very basic. The upper floor bathroom useless for anyone above 170cm, as floorheiight is limited. This practically leaves 1 bathroom for all guests. Kitchen available but lacking utensils making self-cooking a challenging task.

I had a very pleasant few days in The Bird. Room was small and basic but comfortably and clean. The kitchen and dinning room are as good as you’ll get. Also a lounge for relaxing, which is great if you don’t want to leave at 1000. The only issue is they need a better system for food in the fridge as it’s full of stuff that people have left.

Perhaps I misunderstood the dynamics of The Bird, however I was not happy with the experience and was thankful to find a hotel. I paid for two nights I didn’t use I was so unhappy. - one bath shared by many rooms and people. - no dark curtains to shade the 4am light - nowhere to put anything away in the room! Not even a hook for a coat. Unless you are happy with a hostel, avoid this.

The apartment is really outdated old and worn out. The worst part was the noise coming thru the thin uninsolated walls. Holes on the vinil floor and on arrival the room was ice cold.

It is alright.

It’s a bit out of the way. My biggest issue with this property is you have to share a bathroom. I believe there are almost 10 rooms and only two single bathrooms. One has a tub only and one has a shower. I had to wait several times to get in and use the bathroom. Noise is an issue. The interior walls are very thin. This is basically a 1950’s single family home with bedroom doors that lock. It was spotless and well maintained.

Les chambres sont très basiques : un lit, un bureau, un porte manteaux et une table basse. Peu de déco, pas de fioriture, on est sur une prestation minimale pour un prix minimum : vous aurez du mal à trouver moins cher. Néanmoins, la cuisine est fonctionnelle et le centre ville accessible rapidement à pied. La qualité de votre nuit dépendra de la bienveillance et du respect de vos voisins car il n'y a pas de porte entre le salon et le couloir d'accès aux chambres...

Vi havde et stort værlse som var rent da vi kom. Der er noget lydt på stedet, så vil anbefale at folk der sover let tager ørepropper med. Det fælles køkken var rent og med de basel køkken ting. Man har et afmærket område i køleskabet og i et skab til sine madvarer. Der er også mulighed for at bruge en fryser.
