Absolutely wonderful surroundings, just as expected. There are some thing that are good to know. Dinner, lunch(box), that are not included in the price (regardless of what hotels.com says) are good but very pricy. $45 for a dinner, $35 for lunch box p/p with no options. Another good tip is to rent a "real" 4x4 with large wheels. The staff is great; the food is very, very good; the wine selection was also quite good and reasonably priced, considering you are 100 miles from a major town. The views from the dining area are stunning: we took pictures every meal. The only downside is the distance to the entrance to the park: 25 km of rough terrain, each way. That adds up and you need to be aware of the fuel, since the nearest gas station is in Puerto Natales. There are few options to obtain more fuel, at a higher rate. My girlfriend and I recently traveled to Torres del Paine for 4 nights, 3 of which we'd planned to stay at Hotel Estancia Tercera Barranca (nights 1, 2, and 4). We arrived late the first night, and it quickly became evident that the property, while charming, was not going to enable us to have the trip we planned on. We ended up leaving the next day, and stayed elsewhere all other nights of the trip - for context, I've never left a property early before. Quite simply, the location is terrible for exploring the park. The route to the property on Google Maps is incorrect, involving a river crossing that doesn't exist. While it appears quite close, you actually have to drive much past the park on Rt 9, before turning onto a very rough road for 12 km. All told, it would take an hour or more to reach the park gates, with substantial risk of car damage unless in an SUV. Management told us of the route inaccuracy \~4 days before we arrived, long after the cancellation deadline - we felt misled. At that distance, you'd be better off staying in Puerto Natales, where there is more selection at a much lower price; or even better, stay at the many wonderful, comparably priced properties in and near the park. If you just want the nice view for a few days, maybe with a horseback ride on the ranch, this property could be appealing (one note - atrocious wifi). A nice seating area in the reception with nice views. Unfortunately there is not quite enough seating in here for everyone. Hotellet lå fantastisk til med utsikt til Torres del Paine. Midt i villmarka og med guanacoer og andre dyr på alle kanter. Minuset var avmerkinga på Google maps som ikke stemte. Vi leita i tre timer før vi fant fram enda vi var bare en kilometer unna i luftlinje. Med vanlig leiebil tok det en time å kjøre den elendige grusveien på 12 km fra hovedveien (som også var grusvei). Ingen mobildekning i området, så kunne ikke spørre hvor vi skulle kjøre. Men fant heldigvis en mann på veien på områdets eneste bygg med aktivitet som vi kunne spørre, ellers hadde vi aldri funnet fram. Rommene var nye og fine, romslige og moderne med store vinduer med utsikt til Torres del Paine. Frokosten og middagen på stedets restaurant var upåklagelig. Trivelig og behjelpelig betjening. Men bestillinga hadde skjært seg, jeg hadde fått bekreftelse på to rom, men de hadde bare fått beskjed om ett. Hotellet var fullt og vennene våre fikk tilbud om å ligge i ei kald husvogn som de vaska og gjorde klar. Men badet var veldig lite og dårlig og de frøs hele natta. Det måtte de betale 100 dollar for. Og vi fikk ingen unnskyldning, de så bare at det var en feil med systemet og når bestilling.
