Although the room was ok the hotel overall was very dated! The restaurant was separately run from the hotel and the pool area while nicely located on the side of the lake was in need to maintenance and modernisation…
I was very surprised that the hotels.com rating for this hotel was so high… at best this is a 3-star hotel…
The staff were perfectly friendly and helpful, but there were not enough of them. You had to find the restaurant staff if you wanted a drink while sat by the pool area.
We did eat in the restaurant on one night and although the food was good, it was expensive..
If you are used to a good standard of hotel on holiday, I would not recommend this one.

We knew we wanted a room with a view when traveling to Wengen, in fact we reserved rooms with view for all out Switzerland trip. This was by far the best view for the whole trip. It is funny but I think the hotel actually undersold the view we were going to get from the Jungfrau View room. The room itself is perfectly fine, a little rustic, and there is no AC, but the view is FANTASTIC. Do yourself a favor and book this view, you will be happy you did. Breakfast was great and staff super friendly. Great location and facilities.

"Excellent hotel. We stayed in the room with air conditioning and private bathroom and we just loved it. Shared bathroom has some inconvenience as we checked the bathrooms and we saw that some guests don't care about others, leaving it wet, with papers and towels on the floor. Location is excellent. ..."
