She was apologetic but really I feel that desk staff should have a command of English. The lady in front of me asked what was wrong with her booking that she had to wait, it was a third guest who spoke the same language as the desk person who eventually explained that we would have to wait as the lady behind the desk spoke no English. Our stay after the very poor start was very comfortable. The room was spotless, the towels of excellent quality and the bed very comfortable."
