Enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue (April-October). Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking. . Elizabeth House is situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Bampton on the edge of the Exmoor National Park. This holiday home is perfect for guests looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of a Devon beauty spot.
Upon entering the property, guests will find the spacious living room where they can relax in front of the electric fire watching their favourite movie on the Freeview Sky TV. Down the stairs, the open-plan kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with high-end appliances and modern units, whilst the dining table provides a great space to enjoy a family meal. Outside, guests will enjoy the private enclosed gravelled garden with outdoor seating, a lovely spot for relaxing in the sunshine. Heading upstairs to the first floor there is a double room with a double bed and single bed and a single room with a single bed and trundle underneath. On the second floor is the spacious master bedroom with a new king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom is also on the second floor.
The local scenery is breathtaking, with numerous walking trails right at your doorstep. Nearby, Exmoor and Wimbleball Lake offer opportunities for walking, cycling, fly fishing, horse riding, and water sports. Bampton has various amenities, including butchers, bakers, pubs, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, antique shops, and a children’s play park.
This area is perfect for exploring charming villages and attractions, including the rolling hills of Exmoor and local streams. Noteworthy nearby towns include Dulverton and Dunster, along with Dunkery Beacon and Tarr Steps. National Trust properties like Knightshayes Court, a striking Gothic mansion, are also close by.
Tiverton, just 4 miles away, features the Museum of Mid Devon Life, while Exeter and Taunton, a 35-minute drive away, offer shopping, theatres, and restaurants. The beaches of North Devon and the Jurassic Coast are also within reach.

This is an excellent house in a great location.
This is an excellent house in a great location. They have thought of nearly everything you need for a comfortable stay, we loved it.The location enables you to explore both the North and South Devon coasts as well as the villages and towns in the Exmoor national park.Highly recommend, we will be back.

Lovely well laid out house with all equipment.
Lovely well laid out house with all equipment. Very clean and spacious. Shower excellent. Even had a selection of raincoats in the main bedroom for guests to use . The house was very well kitted out. Kitchen has everything you need. Host very friendly and helpful. Although garden was small and not lawn, it was good with the stones as my dog didn't get muddy, just wet from the rain when he was in the garden and he loved it!! Only a short walk to the village.Can highly recommend this house and the location.
