Views are very nice. The house is comfortabel. Easy access to the village and starting point for hikes and is close to other nice villages. Beautifull surroundings. Friendly and helpfull owners.

Perfect in every way
What a beautiful cottage. Late writing this review as we moved house, and area, 2 days before this holiday and was great to relax and still be able to sort out all that goes with a major house move! We have stayed in quite a few rental properties but this was by far the best. Thank you Susan, communication excellent and it is clear that you treat you holiday home with as much care and attention as you would your own. Spotlessly clean, beautiful furnishing and detail throughout, Cornish lampshades and cushions covers a lovely touch. Fast reliable internet, well used by us. Kitchen very well equipped, thank you for the bottle of wine upon arrival and selection of tea/coffee a bonus. Lovely quality bedding and towels, plenty of. View of evening of sunsets (lounge on first floor and master suit on second floor) second to none. Too many extras to list, a touch of home from home. 15 mins strolling distance to centre of Tinatagel, plenty of places to eat and highly recommend the mussels cooked in Cornish cider at Ye Olde Malthouse Inn. Catered for all diets including gluten free battered fish, fresh and delicious. Tintagel castle never fails to impress, great team who provided a wheelchair for my Mum so she could go across the new bridge. Quiet and relaxing, just what the doctor ordered. We would like to wish you all the best for the future and will definitely be recommending your property to friends.

Fabulous property!
We had a wonderful week! Weather was hot but rooms stayed cool with a lovely sea breeze flowing through! The house is spotless and has every home comfort you would need! Loved the king size bed! Tassimo machine was used daily! Fabulous views from lounge and master bedroom! Hosts very friendly and on hand! Highly recommend!

Susan was especially generous in allowing us to check-in early. We loved the mid-level living room and its views, as well as the sizeable bedrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed, and we had one rainy afternoon watching a film on the large TV

Fine holiday home and excellent base for walking.
Well-presented, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Excellent fridge/freezer for self-catering, induction hob and dishwasher. Garden well-maintained with good visibility for little ones. Conservatory very useful and comfortable. Good parking for two cars and very friendly host. Close to the coastal path and a number of excellent beaches. A very good centre for a week’s holiday.

Lovely home from home
It really felt like home for 2weeks while we explored the most beautiful surrounding area. We love the north coast of Cornwall (all of Cornwall in fact) and never tire of coming. There's so much to do, whatever the weather, and having a clean, spacious, comfortable home as a base made the holiday perfect for us. Thank you Sue, we highly recommend.

Wonderful Autumn stay
Sue was a great host. We had a long journey in terrible weather and she got in touch to let us know she had lights and heating on ready for us. It was a real home from home with everything you need on hand. Memorable visits - the castle, Nectan waterfall and a walk along coast to Trebarwith strand. Our boys already planning our next visit 😀

Good location, lovely house
Everything about this property was good. It was a short walk into Tintagel which we did most evenings for a drink or fish and chips. The property itself was just as the listing described. It was clean and well equipped even with the little things that make a stay away from home easy and comfortable. The views were lovely and we found it a good location to explore the North Cornwall coastline. We made it to the Eden Project in under an hour. Would wholly recommend this property for a family holiday,

Lovely house
We had a lovely time staying here. The house was very clean and tidy and well situated for everything we wanted to do. All of the appliances and services worked as they should do, efficiently and all instructions were clear. We were pleased to see that disposal of refuse was organised and recycling possible - we have stayed in places before where we had to dispose of our own rubbish - not ideal when you’re trying to have a relaxing time! The garden and outdoor areas were well maintained and easily accessible. We felt safe in the house, all doors and windows were easily secured and the neighbours that we met were friendly. During our stay we visited Tintagel - mostly by walking there - because it was so close. We also walked down to the beach with Merlins cave, which is a bit further and a steep walk back up but well worth seeing. The castle wasn’t open unfortunately due to work but could be viewed from the coastal path above. We visited Boscastle and Crackington Haven by car and Trebarwith Strand - which was our sons favourite beach for bodyboarding. We drove and also walked the coastal path there one day. This took us an hour to get there and an hour to get back and we kept him close by because some of the path is quite close to some steep drops but the views were amazing and it was nice not to have to pay for car parking that day! On our last day we visited St Nectans Glen which was well worth the 30 minute walk from the car and lovely to visit especially early in the day when fewer people are around. The most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time, with a fantastic combination of a well maintained house and lots of interesting places to visit nearby.

We have just received the review you left us via Home Away and were very sorry and concerned to see the content of your short review and the three star rating. you gave. This review does not compare at all with the comments you left in our guest book at the property. We do not feel in any way that we give the impression the house is actually by the sea, we quite correctly state that there are views of the sea from the upstairs rooms. Our property details also show photos of the garden to the property. We strive to provide a quality, well-equipped holiday home for our many guests, both new and returning and have never had anything but great reviews and lovely comments from all of our guests; we are always on hand to give advice both before and during visits, as you are fully aware following the comprehensive advice I provided to you with various travel options from London to Cornwall. This is the first time in ten years of operating a holiday rental that we have received a 3 star rating and a review which is contradictory to that left in the guest book and the comments you made to us when returning the keys . It saddens us at the impact it will have on our overall ratings, which to date have always been fantastic.

Well maintained and very comfortable
We had a lovely comfortable stay in this property and could thoroughly recommend it for a great relaxing break. We stayed here in November and found the property warm and welcoming and had everything we needed. This property was well situated for us to explore and enjoy many places in this part of Cornwall. Great thought had gone into the comfort of our stay by the owners who provided us with a wide selection of literature of places to visit and things going on in the area. Thank you.

Home from home
A really great holiday home. I use the word home as that is how it felt especially after staying two weeks. Everything you need there, especially in the kitchen. Sue and Kieron have put so much thought into this house to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. If going to holiday in this area again would not hesitate to see if this property was vacant first. The views to both front and back are special if you are a city dweller- sea and moors. Sea from the living room which is on the first floor. The position allows sun in the house at front in the morning and back in the afternoon making it bright and sunny. Quite a spacious house. Private parking at front for two cars. Only a 10 minute walk into Tintagel, a lovely place to browse round. You can even see pasties being made. Lots of walks nearby with St Nectans Glen a must along with Rocky valley. Lovely beach only a 5 min drive or walk it via the coastal path with amazing views. St Michaels mount in a couple of hours if you wish to go further a field. All in all a great place in a great location. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Although, our cleaning routine is the same however the property is left, it still makes it more of a pleasure when guests leave it as clean as you did and makes the letting so much easier. We've had a great week in this comfortable, clean and well-equipped house. Welcome gift of wine and fresh eggs was a lovely touch. The surroundings are also very nice. The village with local shops and pubs is a 10-minute walk away and the coast with great views not much farther. The house served us well as a base in our exploration of Cornwall.

Wonderful!
What a delightful place to spend a holiday. The house is spacious, modern, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need- and then some! Sue gave us a great welcome and it was comforting to know she lives close by if we had any questions. We loved being able to walk out to the cliffs or into the village from the house, and the coastal scenery is spectacular. Trebarwith is our favourite beach in the world!

Stunning!
It genuinely feels like home here, the layout of the house and the decor is just right. The views are breathtaking from every window in the house. The welcome we had was some fresh eggs and a bottle of wine which was very much appreciated. 4 of us stayed here and we did not once feel like we were living in each other's pockets. one of our group is well over 6foot tall and he found he had to sleep diagonally in the bed but he was comfy all the same. the bedroom doors are very creaky to open and shut but you very quickly get used to it. the views and the homely feeling this house provided will stay with me for a very long time.

The house was lovely and welcoming, with complimentary wine which was a lovely thought. The children enjoyed the house being three storey and there was loads of space so we weren't trapped under each others feet all the time. Sue was really helpful and the communication throughout was fantastic. Would highly recommend for a wonderful holiday.

Beautiful clean comfortable place
We went to Tintagel as a family. The house was lovely. Spotless, modern really enjoyed our stay. Although Sue was not there when we arrived she left wine and fresh eggs as a welcome. How lovely. Only problem for me was stairs. Property on 3 floors and having arthritis stairs were a problem thank goodness for the lovely conservatory. Bottom floor had kitchen dining room and conservatory. I was sorted. Only battled stairs to go to bed. The others were fine and the views from the living room on the 1st floor were amazing master bedroom on the 2nd floor also had fantastic views. Would definitely recommend. Beautiful place.

A great place to stay with a real home from home feel. It's a nice 10 minute walk into the village with local shops and some good pubs. Close by are some great walks to the church the castle and the coastal path with spectacular views either way. We stayed with our friends 6 of us and found the property very comfortable and with 3 levels and a conservatory we didn't get in each others way.

Lovely comfortable house
Chylowen is a lovely comfortable house with everything you would need for your stay. The children loved their 'attic' room and the master en-suite was very roomy, with great views across the surrounding farmland to the sea. We had a wonderful holiday with many hours spent down at Trebarwith. Chylowen is an ideal base for the north Cornish coast and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Beautiful home in a great position
Chylowen is a lovely home in fact we have stayed in quite a few in Tintagel and this is by far the best! So clean, tidy and well looked after. Everything you need is provided for a wonderful stay. Sue only lives a few doors away so if you need anything then you can always knock as she is such a lovely lady. The house also has beautiful views out to sea from two levels as the property is set over 3 levels. It is within a short walk into Tintagel so it is in an ideal position for the town and for venturing further afield. We hope to see you again soon Sue! Thanks for the beautiful eggs from Lottie!

Beautiful house with everything to make your stay a home from home
We had a wonderful time. The home owners were really helpful and had created a home from home at Chylowen. The house had everything you need and was really well though out - everything to make it a safe environment for a young family. The location was fantastic just on the outskirts of Tintagel and within an easy car ride of alot of tourist attractions, although Tintagel itself is beautiful and the castle is amazing - well worth a visit. We would definately consider coming back to the house again.

Good communication with Sue, lovely, clean, spacious house, fantastic views, private garden, so convenient for exploring Tintagel, and coastal path! Family of four with two teenages,, who had enough space each! Fantastic weather, week wasn't long enough,! Great value for money! Tintagel Castle, was amazing, visited it twice! Will return!

Chylowen is very comfortable, well equipped, with plenty of storage space, and spotlessly clean. Thank you, Sue! Lovely views from upstairs. We appreciated the easy access by car as we have stayed in properties before which were down miles of narrow lanes. Close to the village (10 minutes' walk) but quiet and rural and close to the coastal path. It was lovely to find a bottle of wine to welcome us. We strongly recommend Boscastle farm shop and the cream tea at Bossiney tea rooms (best scones ever). We were at Trebarwith Strand 3 times without actually seeing the beach - it seems that it is only accessible within about 2 hours of low tide. It didnt matter to us as the weather was too cool for the beach, but it may be important for other guests to know! Altogether a great week and lovely place to stay.

Schöner Ausblick bis zum Meer
Wir würden wiederkommen. Das Haus liegt ein klein wenig außerhalb von Tintagel (ca. 1 km). So konnte man dem Trubel des Ortes bei Bedarf gut entrinnen. Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet. Waschmaschine enthält ein tolles Kurzwaschprogramm. Im Wintergarten nach hinten heraus lässt es sich gut chillen. Der Ausblick vom master bedroom im zweiten Stockwerk nach Norden zur See hin ist wunderschön. Zur Zeit (Juli 2019) ist das Castle und die Halbinsel gesperrt, weil an einer Brücke gearbeitet wird. Die Arbeiten sollten längst abgeschlossen sein, dann ergaben sich jedoch irgendwelche Schwierigkeiten. Die Küstenwanderweg ist absolut top! Traberwith Strand in der Nähe lädt bei Ebbe zum Baden ein. Dortiges Pub-Restaurant mit tollem Ausblick ist sehr zu empfehlen. Frau Moth war sehr freundlich zu uns, und die Schlüsselübergabe war völlig unproblematisch.
