"The beautiful serenity of Rustic Cabin can't be emphasized enough. It looks rustic yet has good wi-fi and everything needed is supplied; quiet yet stores are not far; clean yet felt homey and comfortable. The view from the patio is gorgeous. Positive reviews are true and to be believed. Phil was a responsive host during the whole process. I definitely hope to return. One hint: take slippers since shoes are off inside."

"I wish I could rate it higher, and in a way maybe I should, as you get what you pay for with National 9 Placerville. First, the overwhelming positive: amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The individuals that work there are wonderful people. I really appreciate them and their help during my stay. The room was also clean enough, no complaints there. The location is good, not great, but still good---adjacent to plenty to eat, even a good grocery store, and not far from the center of town. The water pressure from the shower was excellent, something most hotels and motels struggle with. Great shower. All that said, this is truly a bare bones motel. It is really just a place to sleep, which is fine. No hair dryer was a downside for my wife, but the biggest problem was the bed itself. The mattress is wildly uncomfortable and the pillows are paper thin. I had to use a jacket under my pillow to give it any volume to provide any real level of comfort. Make sure you are DEAD tired before going to sleep. The curtains also let in a bit too much light, the room wasn't able to get dark enough. Older building as well. If not for the mattress, I'd consider staying here again. If you can sleep on anything/anywhere though, consider them. Again, super friendly people, clean room, powerful shower and good location still helps. Price is right, too. If they had good mattresses, I'd give the place 5 stars honestly. I still thank them for a decent stay."

"Amazing property in middle of Amador Wine country. Plenty of space for everyone. pool area is clean fun filled for both adults and children. Kitchen is equipped with everything you may need plus more. Bedrooms are spacious with a good sized bathroom included in most. Plenty of perks. Caretaker was prompt and gracious if we needed anything. Host was responsive with any questions I had. We loved this property for our family reunion!!"

"Everything was great other than the elevator not working. They did put me on the 2nd floor to make it easier. Staff was great. Breakfast was great. Parking good and room was nice"
