"Property needs some improvements. Needs new can openers, dry door needs a handle. Bathrooms need to install knobs so that showers can be turned on and off easier. Downstairs bathroom is not ideal. Commode on pedestal difficult to use. shower is very small. Head room downstairs is very low. Upstairs loft was very hot compared to the rest of the home. Still a nice place to stay."

"Fabulous new house perfect for multiple couples or families. Private/almost remote location. We enjoyed it in the off season with 4 adults, using hot tub, both decks, firepit, nearby hiking, etc. Had no trouble storing & preparing meals. The instruction about "must have chains or 4-wheel drive" is no joke so don't come unprepared in the winter season! We can't wait to see if the property is further developed in the basement space, but it is awesome already."

"Having experience with rentals before there was always just enough to get through one day as far as your paper goods and towels and little odds and ends. But they gave us plenty. We didn’t have to go out and get anything else. The kitchen was great fully stocked the bedrooms were clean and had plenty of room to put our things in. There was no overcrowding. Everybody has something to do. There was plenty of games. It was just a fun atmosphere. We saw Bear mama and her 3 cubs and lots of deer. We will recommend this place and we want to return. Thank you."

We had a problem with the ovens not working properly, but there was a toaster oven available for baking. The stairs to the 2nd floor and basement were somewhat difficult to navigate because of the lack of properly placed handrails."

"Great location for exploring Blackwater, Dolly Sods and surrounding areas. Home was clean and had most everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable and rooms very clean. Any issues were dealt with quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"
