"Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had looked forward to enjoying our porch. Unfortunately our cabin overlooked a parking lot and one of the flooded cabins from July 2024 … in exact condition it was left after flood. Additionally we were unable to use our parking spot as another guest had parked their trailer for their motorcycle in our spot while also using another spot for their pickup. Those guests explained their predicament to us and we managed ok but had to park further away and not in a real spot so covered in mud. Our hosts were very responsive to texts concerning a plumbing issue with toilet. So sad for the Ruidoso area as apparent the floods and fires have had a dramatic effect on tourism."
