The river with its backdrop of karst mountains is perfect in Yangshuo. Take the bamboo boats rather than the big cruise boats to get a better feel for life on the river. I saw another Trover had pretty much the identical bamboo canoe and mountain view. Really scenic excursion if you are on Yangtze River cruise. Does have a staged feel to it but great photo opportunities and and interesting couple of hours. Worth making the effort.
