In the 13th century, a stone castle was built on the site of the original wooden castle. In the XVI century, due to the constant danger of Turkish raids, the fortifications of the castle were strengthened. In the XVII century, the castle lost its significance. In 1727, a fire broke out and the castle was abandoned by the owners.
