"Excellent property if you are coming for a visit to Sitka. Had everything we needed for 3 night stay. Went whale watching with Mike who is a great captain and got us some excellent views and photos of whales, see otters, sea lions, and other sea life. Highly recommend this VRBO."

"The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I did one small load of laundry and it cost $16, $8 for washer and dryer machine tokens, $4 for a single packet of soap and $4 for three dryer sheets. Fairly outrageous. Otherwise a reasonable stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Alaskan Lodge in Sitka! The house had everything we needed to feel comfortable and right at home. In the mornings, we loved being able to watch whales and eagles while having coffee! In the evenings we really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. There were so many beautiful things to discover in and around the house. Every day we noticed something new and interesting. There is a giant eagle’s nest in one of the trees in the yard, which was very cool to see! I appreciated that the kitchen was well appointed, with everything we needed to cook good meals. The location was perfect for us. We rented a car, and the house is just a short drive from town with hiking/biking trails close by. All in all, I would highly recommend this property, especially if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic place outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was third time renting Thimbleberry House. It is perfect for large groups! Setting is stunning, and house and property have everything you would need for a perfect Sitka vacation. Will be back for sure!"

"Our family of four adults had a fantastic stay at this unique property! The location was perfect for us, midway between the town center and the National Park, and close to a grocery for supplies. The town is easily walkable, just needed to catch a ride from the airport with our luggage. The space was well laid out and furnished, we all just plopped down on the couches and chairs like we lived there. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, kitchen with lots of odds and ends in addition to the necessities (e.g. I borrowed a birthday candle for my wife’s celebratory pastry on our last morning). I appreciated the coffee setup and bag of ground coffee provided so I could enjoy my 2 cups before heading to town to get the fancier beverages for others. The owners were always available and very kind and have created a lovely spot to enjoy time together while visiting Sitka. We left a few sights unvisited so we have a reason to return and stay again in the future : )"
