It is not a luxury motel by any means but for the price it's clean and comfortable. There were a few minor inconveniences like we were given two keys and only one worked. Our slider screen door didn't have an interior handle. The toilet is very low to the ground. But I mean it's $85 a night and a great location. Staff was awesome and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. No complaints!

When we arrived, there was nobody to greet us, our key and bill was taped to the outside of the office door. There was no one to ask for extras, like towels, blankets etc... The sheets had stains and the bed covers where paper thin.

The property is old and visually unpleasant. Carpet, curtains and walls clash, bathroom small and very old fixtures. Sheets were stained, did not give a sense of cleanliness.

Good location to the railroad station. Older, dated property with a smell in the room. Heat didn't work, so we changed rooms. 2nd room was bigger and better appointed. Heat worked well, beds were comfortable and shower water was hot, shower head sprayed well. Overall an average motel, okay for one night.

The stay was comfortable and what I have come to expect. My review of an August stay reflected a short-term and temporary lapse in service that has been corrected. For this visit the room was clean, all of it was in working order. The location is outside Old Forge and very nice and quiet. It is a good value if you are not looking for lots of frills. We'll go back again.

It was a great location for sightseeing Old Forge. The staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable. It was quiet. The bathroom fan didn’t work. The shower was anemic. It was fine for just needing a place to sleep.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was very nice, my only problem was when showering the tub would fill with water and the sink was slow to drain — but those are small things that didn’t affect my stay in any way. Very good price considering I have paid more and had bad service and undesirable rooms elsewhere. Would definitely stay again!

This is a very basic motel. There are no updates inside the rooms - the outside might have gotten a bit of a "refresh", but not the rooms themselves. The bed and sheets were pretty musty (not durty but just ... musty).

We have been here many years ago, and pretty much the same as it was back 11-12 years ago. Great location for our needs. Quiet if one of the dude units, clean and nice overall facility, friendly lady at the desk.

The motel is set back away from the road resulting in a nice quiet environment. Very close to Old Forge and surrounded by a plethora of dinning options. We had a great time!

We arrived, checked in and went looking for some ice. Machine not working, had to go to town for bag of ice. Wanted to use pool, not open in early September a 80 degree day. Used shower, bath mat became dirty from the bathroom floor not being cleaned. Went to dinner, came back to room to watch TV, Not working. We have stayed here a number of times but this place has deteriorated terribly. Will never come back again. Too bad because it was a very nice place a couple years back. George Greenwood

Property and rooms were clean except for the old used coffee filter in the coffee maker. Light over the bathroom mirror doesn’t turn on. There is no blow dryer which is pretty standard for rooms. These are minor issues however. Next time I’ll bring my own blow dryer!

Check the windows in room 8 they are not easy to lock. the lights in between the beds turn off and by pressing on the bed by the pillow area Bed closest to the back wall. They also turn off if you sit towards the end of the bed. Strange

Not at all what we expected! Supposed to be 2 queen beds and a sliding glass door with a view of the golf course and pool. We got 2 maybe full size hard as bricks beds with blankets and sheets with stains all over them. No sliding glass door (no problem, but was supposed to be there), pool was quite dinghy like the rest of the place. Their idea of an upgrade is laminate wood flooring over the existing flooring, i know this because who ever did it left a gap all around! Had a small table with 2 wrought-iron chairs with zero padding. It was so bad we stayed only one night and left even though we had it for 2 nights! Pretty bad when your 3 year old can't sleep because the beds too hard but he'll fall asleep just about anywhere else!

I would love to give this motel 5* but unfortunately I can't. Customer service (check in) 10/10 Cleanliness of room 10/10 Pool 5/10 Other guests 00000/10 Explanation: we arrived a wee early and was greeted by what I would assume to be the owner she was FANTASTIC!! We went to our room and unloaded and headed to Raquette Lake for the remainder of the day! We got back around 6 with the kids to enjoy the pool to find a naked child jumping in and out of the pool with no adult supervision... I Kindly walked to the office and told the young man at the desk who looked at me perplexed as he said I don't even know what to say... About 10 minutes later a parent came and got the child.. I took my son to the pool to find the young man's underwear at the bottom of the pool 😭.. The crowd that was at the hotel was ghetto to say the least most places have a noise ordinance 10pm there party went on all night then started again at 6 am... Annoying but it was for a night .. (this is not a reflection of the hotel) Would I stay here again sure..

This property was functional for a two night stay. I would not have liked to stay any longer. Its very dated and the mattresses were hard. The room was clean. There is a severe lack of outdoor lighting. The parking lot and areas in front of the room doors was pitch black at night. Our room had a septic smell to it, we couldn't quite figure it out as it would come and go. Works for a quick getaway and a place to lay your head, but that's about it.
