"We checked in very late and appreciated that they had an easy and convenient late check in procedure. I enjoyed the coffee and continental breakfast each morning. The only negatives were the power going out several times and the door was pretty squeaky, I was trying to sneak out in the mornings while my sister was still sleeping and it woke her up each time. All in all was a great stay and will stay there again in the future."

"This is just what we where looking for peace and quiet. This home is very beautiful in the middle of no where to be able to regroup and just connect with nature. We loved seeing all the squirrels, rabbits, lizards and critters. They had some very old piece of furniture there that was cool to look at and go back in time. Pam was very sweet and answered any questions I had even though she was going through something in her own life she took the time anyways. We will try to come back in the winter to see the snow."

"Amazing place, amazing people. Saw deer, cats and dogs. Def my spot when I’m spending time in Modoc County. Close to the 4 corners market that has an incredible fresh fruit selection and a decent beef jerkey selection as well."

"This was our first time visiting Modoc County and we are so happy we booked Gooseloop Getaway for our 4-night stay. This lovely home is THE BEST place to stay when visiting Alturas and for day trips throughout gorgeous Modoc County. So quiet and peaceful, set amongst the trees yet just a few minutes drive to town. Entire house was extremely clean and updated. So many amenities - TV’s, great WiFi service, barbeque and patio set outside. Air conditioning was nice to have on a few warm days. If you forgot something, don’t worry, it’s probably available in the house. Well stocked kitchen if you want to cook and the sparkling bathrooms had plenty of towels and toiletries. Comfortable beds! The host is very nice and responds quickly to your messages. We really enjoyed everything at Gooseloop Getaway and would definitely stay here again. "
