Spend your money on a budget hotel or even a hostel for a more reliable and cleanly experience. We are not picky travelers. We came to this hotel having stayed in a cheap budget hotel for a week prior, and we were excited to experience the 3-star hotel. The Murrayfield Hotel is very pretty, and our room was spacious, with views out the window but plenty of privacy. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts).
