The hotel was right across the street from the NASCAR museum and about a 4 block walk from where the action in the city is....restaurants, shops, museums, theater. Hilton owns multiple properties in Charlotte. Although I did not "experience" the action for my first 2 nights of my 3 day stay, the "drag" racing on the street that separated the hotel from the NASCAR museum on my last night was a bit annoying... I assume it does not happen that often. All in all, it was a great "last" stop on my 7 week journey reacquainting myself with this great country of ours on its 250th birthday.
