Great place for our extended family. We were there to celebrate our mom who passed away. It was nice to have a big place to gather, rain or shine there’s plenty of room inside and out
We had the most incredible experience staying at Villa Cabernet in Temecula wine country! The home is absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything you could need. The pool and spa were a dream and provided the perfect setting to relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends. We stayed here for our son's wedding and it couldn’t have been more ideal. We hosted the wedding party, held the rehearsal dinner at the house, got ready for the big day there, and welcomed friends and family throughout the weekend. The layout and flow of the home made everything seamless, and the outdoor space was perfect for entertaining. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of—truly top-notch hospitality that made our stay even more special.Whether you're planning a family gathering, a special celebration, or just want a peaceful getaway with loved ones, Villa Cabernet is the perfect place. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back!
Villa Cabernet was a nice property overall. It was very spacious and comfortable. Susan was extremely responsive. They had someone check on us the second day and bring additional trash bags and paper towels. The reason for the 4/5 rating is the following- the home needs updated, many of the cabinets are broken. The hot tub was only heated one day- we came back from a winery tour to use it and it was cold despite it being set to 102. The first day we used the hot tube we faced timed the owner to learn to operate it and they can do it remote for you.
The Villa Cabernet was our 22nd Annual Family Vacation. According to our family it ranks at the top. The villa itself is spacious and very clean. It was well stocked including bath and pool towels. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The outdoor pool, gathering area and professional kitchen area are impressive. The waterfall, hot tub, and outdoor games (including cron hole) were a hit with everyone.
The property manager, Susan Estay, of Desert Vacation Property Management was extremely helpful through the reservation process and during our stay. She went above and beyond by checking in even though she was on vacation herself. A few minor maintenance matters were quickly resolved.
I hosted a work retreat and everyone had a terrific stay at Villa Cabernet! It is centrally located to the wineries, and in a scenic location to view the surrounding hills, vineyards and hot air balloons.
This is ideal for a large group and almost every bedroom had their own private bathroom, which was a great perk! The kitchen was perfect for entertaining, with nice appliances and a big island in the center, perfect for cocktail parties. There is a separate wet bar too, adjacent to the kitchen with its own beverage refrigerator for wines and mixers.
There's even an attached guest quarters with a second, full kitchen, nice couch and TV.
The backyard was gorgeous- we loved the pool and BBQ area, but it was too cold to stay outside. Great place for a get together in warmer weather with families or friends!
The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We hope to come back and stay here again in the near future.
Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable.
The house on its face is beautiful, there’s plenty of space to spread out. The rooms are a nice size. The view is wonderful. This has a potential to be a great vacation rental, but for the price and the lack of attention to detail is just an OK vacation rental. The good:- lots of space to spread out - the rooms are a nice size and a lot of bedrooms. - large kitchen and dining tables - the manager always responded quickly and was very nice - great location and plenty of parking The not so good: - Hair in several beds and showers- Glasses weren’t cleaned properly. - Mold in the outside refrigerator and ice machine. - Outdoor furniture needs to be pressure washed or replaced it had so much bird poop on it or other stains, not a place I would wanna lounge in a swimsuit.Beware because of the distance from the power supply, the hot tub does not get that hot so it’s more lukewarm. If you’re sleeping in the attic bunk bedroom beware it gets really hot up there. They did advise the house they deep cleaned monthly but they may need to reevaluate some things. There were leftover decorations from a previous group, the stairs looked filthy, and so many stains on the wall, if it’s being cleaned regularly, things are being missed and/or not being cleaned thoroughly. If they can get the cleaning staff to do a better job and repair some of the furniture this would be an amazing five star home.

On paper....
On paper this should be a great house. The positives..The size of the space and the pool/waterfall. The location was good for our needs/setting is pretty.
The negatives...The carpets in every space were disgusting, every step on the staircase had large stains as did EVERY carpet throughout the house. From above looking down into the great room you can see dust covering the ledges and furniture. (btw, they charge $999 to clean this house) Drawers broken in kitchen and it was understocked, with no extras. No coffee, creamers, not a baggie to be found. Rentals usually have a welcome basket in my experience. Ice maker not working, outside lights of house didn't work, painter lights in their place. Outside furniture was so dirty, same for pool when we arrived. Sectional in the great room is way past its prime, it was broken and felt dirty. Bathroom tiles had cracks and baths understocked as well...no tissue, only 1 extra roll of toilet paper and 1 set of towels per guest. Outlets didn't work, and patch marks on walls and pool table ceiling in need sanding and paint. Some windows didn't have shades on them, most notably, the bedroom facing the front and master closet window looking at the neighbors. The side wing of the house smelled musty and moldy so we shut that wing off. Smoke detector beeping middle of night, had to have maintenance come.
If you're expecting top notch this isn't it, especially for the price per night. This house is tired and not welcoming or cozy.
Villa Cabernet was the perfect venue for our family. There were 20 of us from age 4 to 75 and every single one of us had a wonderful time. The pool was a highlight, but there was also plenty of seating inside and out, a well appointed kitchen and a great bunk room for the kids. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We even got to see hot air balloons float by! I would book this home again in a heartbeat.
The property shows nice, but there are many things that require attention and repair. If possible I would ask to see the property ahead of full payment. Decor was pretty and was spacious for large groups.
We get together with roughly 20 family members from all over the country for a reunion. The house is set up well for a lot of couples with 8 bedrooms and plenty of extra beds. The house also provided activities for all to enjoy from billiards, poker to a pool and water slide. The one warning would be that the neighbors are quite strict about any outdoor music whatsoever. That was a little downer but that's more of a Temecula thing. We've stayed in other Temecula properties that don't have neighbors very close and not had an issue with music at a reasonable volume.Overall it was a beautiful property, very responsive property manager, and overall a very solid and enjoyable experience.
I was surprised not to see a welcome letter or a welcome basket upon our arrival.
The property needed some upkeep, lights were broken in the back yard, master faucet was a little shaky to use, common little things throughout the property were obviously old and needed to be replaced.

Nice house, but need lots of maintenance and repairs.
Master bedroom shades, completely torn up as if it was a motel six. toilet rolls, falling off the wall fans, not working in two of the bedrooms.. Internet cuts off for periodically and you have to turn it off and wait in your master bedroom, carpet is not clean and Jacuzzi jets does not work The whole volleyball area is in shamb!les and not. most( of the door knobs not secure they come off and how many do you think you have? If you me thermostat coming off the wall. Baseboards coming off of some of the walls this day should have been a very, very nice experience, but when you pay that much and live in a home and things are broken, there should be some type of compensation for that the owners I’m sure know that the house is falling apart. The window in one bedroom upstairs didn’t even open. You have to push it open, and the knob is broken. You can’t close it once you push it open. Everything had something wrong with it and my guest complained to me not a good experience.appropriate.
