Top Teleki Hotel Reviews

Mövenpick Balaland Resort Lake Balaton

8/10 Good

"Excellent room and facilities. Room and certain other areas such as softplay, could have been cleaner, with dust build up around edges. Some of the hotel seemed a bit disorganised. Booked a takeaway breakfast for an early flight home, and the employee at the front desk claimed that this was not possible. Kitchen staff acknowledged that it had been ordered, but when to check if it was finished and never came back. Kids club activities didn't run to schedule. Pool opening times seemed to change each day. Overall a brilliant hotel for kids, just needs some more attention to detail to be truely amazing."

BIRGÉS HOTEL Lifestyle and View

10/10 Excellent

"Dear BIRGÉS Hotel Team, We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the wonderful experience we had at your beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Your hospitality truly made us feel special and comfortable. The spa facilities are absolutely amazing! Everything is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, including the saunas and pools. The massage services were excellent, and our room was spotless, cozy, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food was outstanding! Both breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations. We also truly appreciated the professional and convenient bicycle rental service. One of the things we loved most about BIRGÉS Hotel is the atmosphere. Although the hotel is luxurious, elegant, and beautifully designed, it never makes guests feel that they need to be wealthy or pretend to be someone they are not. We could simply be ourselves, relax, and enjoy everything in a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment. To us, that is what true luxury and exceptional hospitality are all about. Thank you so very much to the entire BIRGÉS Hotel team for your hard work, dedication, kindness, and outstanding service. You have created a truly special place, and we are grateful for the wonderful memories. God bless BIRGÉS Hotel, its wonderful staff, and everyone who makes this beautiful place so special! With sincere appreciation and warmest regards, Istvan & Adrien"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Teleki?

The best area to stay in Teleki itself is right in the village centre, as this is where you'll find the main amenities and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

Teleki is a small, peaceful village, and its centre is quite compact. You'll find the local church, a few traditional houses, and often a small shop or two. The charm lies in its rural setting, surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards, offering a true escape from city life.

For couples seeking a tranquil getaway, staying within Teleki village provides an intimate experience. You can enjoy strolls through the countryside, visit local wineries, and experience authentic Hungarian village life. It's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding Somogy hills and enjoying relaxing evenings.

Families might also appreciate the quiet environment of Teleki village. The open spaces and lack of busy traffic make it a pleasant place for children to explore safely, and many accommodation options offer gardens or grounds for outdoor activities.

When is the best time to go to Teleki?

The best time to visit Teleki, Somogy County, Hungary, is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) months. These periods offer comfortable weather and a pleasant experience for exploring the region.

Late spring provides warm, sunny days ideal for outdoor activities without the intense heat of mid-summer. The countryside is lush and green, and local flora is in full bloom. It's a great time for couples who enjoy scenic walks, cycling through vineyards, or simply relaxing by Lake Balaton before the peak summer crowds arrive.

Early autumn is equally appealing, with mild temperatures and the beautiful colours of the changing leaves. This season is particularly good for those interested in local culture and gastronomy, as it often coincides with grape harvests and wine festivals in the surrounding Balaton wine region. It's also a more tranquil time for solo travellers looking for a peaceful retreat.

While July and August are popular for those seeking warmer weather for swimming in Lake Balaton, these months can be quite hot and see a significant increase in visitors, leading to busier attractions.
