"Nice, quiet hotel with good breakfast. Older building but rooms have been updated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only negatives are the bathrooms are very tiny and we had no housekeeping the entire three nights we were there. Otherwise a nice place to stay."

"Didn’t realize it is literally right beside owner’s house although we didn’t see or hear them much. Brought our own lawn chairs and gas grill which was good. No kitchen knives, which we didn’t bring. Otherwise comfortable bed, lots of pillows and towels. Fire supplies provided and lovely yard with flowers, outdoor lights and wash line. Even a walking stick (the insect) on the cabin this morning. Close to lakes and town and an ATV trail."
Cozy Lakefront Cabin w/ Sandy Beach & Bunkhouse!

"We stayed for a week in late July 2026. This cabin is even better than the pictures. It’s obvious the owners take a lot of pride in the ownership of the cabin. It is very clean and has all the extras with all the comforts of home . The owner was very responsive as well. We brought our small fishing boat and my husband fished for hours every day. He loved just walking out of the cabin straight to the boat. This end of Crooked Lake is very quiet and exactly what we wanted. The driveway is tricky and no you cannot navigate it with a connected trailer. There is also no place to park it at the cabin. We left the trailer at the boat launch for a week with no issues. The only challenge we had all week was the bathroom. It’s small and we are both tall. The shower head and bathroom mirror are both set up for people under 5 ‘ 7”. It gave us both a good daily laugh. We will certainly stay here again!"

"We had a wonderful stay with three families and would definitely recommend this home. The layout was perfect for a large group, with great visibility to the beach and yard, making it easy to keep an eye on the kids. We loved the private beach, kayaks, beach toys, game room, spacious yard, and how close it was to Baxter for groceries and anything else we needed. The home felt warm, welcoming, and communication with the host was excellent.A few improvements would make it even better. The upstairs bedrooms got quite warm with the doors closed, so better airflow or fans would help, and blackout curtains would be a great addition for families with young kids. The grill was slow and didn't heat evenly, there was quite a bit of goose poop around the beach and yard, and we would have appreciated a recycling option.Overall, we made wonderful family memories here and would happily stay again."

"This is a great place to retreat to the woods. It's not on North Long Lake but it is near the Paul Bunyon Trail and between Brainerd and Nisswa. The space was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked and had what we needed to make meals. The host did a great job communicating and responding to any questions. Would stay here again."

"This place was a gem. We brought our dogs and walked them every day down the quiet dirt road. Perfect for dogs as the floors are stained cement and easy to sweep. There was a grill to use and a fire pit. Internet is a little spotty. However, I used my phone to connect. Also super private. We would stay again."
