Location was perfect for walking and enjoying the old flavour of the city. The service at the hotel was above and beyond, reception and owner quite courteous and the breakfast was better than a hotel could provide. Would do this hotel again, anytime. In my opinion is way too expensive for what the hotel offers. I first in a room in the ground floor, very stuffy and warm, with no ac. The second room I stayed was 110 pounds, which is an enormity in local currency. On the first floor and a bit more aired. However very noisy with people walking nearby. The hotel is very central, right in the old town. The road that leads to the hotel has no asphalt and has potholes that prove challenging if you are walking after a rain. Unfortunately the road outside the hotel was completely dug up for some sort of construction project which may explain why it was under-occupied. The very friendly manager upgraded us to a beautiful room with its own terrace where we could sit out and see the rooftops, spires, and hillside across the river.
