I has a wealth of character and charm and provides a real log cabin experience in a great location. Situated on a large plot in a peaceful woodland setting, approximately 200 yards from the shore of beautiful Loch Awe. The site is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with breath taking scenery, endless walks, free fishing and abundant wildlife. Whether you require a base from which to explore Argyll and the west coast, simply enjoy the local area or just relax and be at one with nature our log cabins provide the perfect location. The accommodation consists of open plan Lounge, dining area and kitchen, two double bedrooms, twin sleeping loft, family shower room and wood fired hot tub (extra charge). The lounge / dining area has a high vaulted ceiling, Satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV and DVD), wifi, 3 seater sofa, easy chairs, dining table for eight, a lovely wood burning stove and Patio doors opening onto the raised veranda. The kitchen area is well equipped, with cooker, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery. Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet and shaver point / light. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built in wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. Sleeping loft (1.80m ceiling height) is access via a ladder & has twin beds, bed side cabinet and clothes storage. Outside there is parking for 2 cars, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, a BBQ / fire pit area, wood fueled hot tub and ample grounds. The cabin is timber lined throughout, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm and feel of a true log cabin in a quiet woodland location. Wi-fi available at extra cost. PLEASE NOTE: Rental rates include 3 bags of logs for use in hot tub. Additional logs can be purchased from our House Keeper or at the village shop. Please be aware that this is a traditional hot tub and not a Jacuzzi / spa and water is heated by a wood fired burner, which may take some while (up to 5 hours in first instance) to heat. All electricity and linen is included within quoted prices. It is a beautiful, bright, stylish, comfy cabin in the woods, so quiet and restful. 6 of us stayed for Easter week, the grandchildren loved their Easter Egg hunt in the woods. The children also loved the large loft space where they could have all their toys and games laid out on the floor. We had lovely walks and skimming stones in the Loch, which is perfect for open water swimming. The fittings and furnishings in the cabin are superb; the kitchen well stocked with utensils for foodies and handy dishwasher leaves plenty time for relaxing in front of the cosy wood burner. There are lots of DVD’s and board games to while away the evening. We mostly cooked for ourselves but had delightful lunches in the Kilchrenan Inn and at The Oyster Inn at Connel. Trips to the standing stones in Kilmartin and Oban were worth the journey. A wonderful break, thank you David and Hannah for creating such a lovely, welcoming, home away from home. ##### Maggi M. The cabin is well placed for exploring the area, in a lovely quiet spot, and walks around the area are beautiful. Kilmartin Glen is amazing! The weather was fabulous and Loch Awe glittered in the sun. The cabin is really gorgeous, one of the most comfortable and best equipped we have stayed at (especially the dishwasher). Really comfy beds and a kitchen you can cook in with a great selection of pots and pans and knives. It's decorated in Scandi style and is flooded with light during the day, and lovely and cosy in the evening. We like to cook, so we loved that the kitchen is pretty well-equipped too.
