Knap Guest House

"Fabulous place to stay. Bedrooms very high standard. Breakfast pre ordered and delivered to your room at the requested time. You can change your choice each day but we kept it the same. Staff were very friendly and checked with us that everything was ok and did we need anything more. If we are this way again I will definitely book this again. Parking was easy as the main street has loads of parking."
A beautiful & remote farmhouse on the Isle of Arran with outstanding sea views

"So beautiful! More remote than I expected - buy groceries before you arrive! And you will need to open and close two gates on your way up the access road. But the views and the property are totally worth it!"
Lochranza Youth Hostel

"Loved this YHA. Wonderful location couldn't ask for better view. Right next to Lochranza castle which is a must. The YHA was what a YHA should be. Good community feel, nice eating area, bedding and towels provided. We had an en suite. The YHA ws expectionally quiet at night considering how busy it was. Very helpful staff. A lounge and designated working area Place for boots, great kitchen and facilities and laundry area. Absolutely loved it."

"Very warm and welcoming hosts. Comfortable and lovely room. Dog friendly. Some booking platforms aren’t great at passing on messages from property so I suggest contacting them directly before arriving to check meal times on site."
Craigard House Hotel

"The single room was small but well maintained. Breakfast and evening meal were of a very high standard. The staff were very helpful especially Ashley who was running the dining room during my stay"
Ardshiel Hotel

"I came here for a golf trip and it was very conveniently placed, less than 15 mins from each course. Nice quiet area in the corner of town (I stayed in the annex) with parking right outside and beautiful scenary. Pubs/restaurants only a 5-10 minute walk away. My only 2 gripes were that the sound proofing was non-existent, so you could hear every word and movement of the other guests. The shower was also very snug and water pressure was pretty poor. Otherwise, I slept well and the staff were extremely friendly! My dinner in the hotel restaurant was also brilliant - I'd recommend the haggis balls!"

Anchor Hotel

"The Anchor was a convenient stay for us as we needed to be close to the ferry to take us to Isla. The staff were very pleasant and check-in was easy. Parking was across the street and convenient as well. The rooms are very small and dated but clean and comfortable. There is a pub next door and many people were enjoying the World Cup so it got pretty noisy but we were able to sleep. We had a fabulous dinner in the Anchor's restaurant. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate. Tarbert is a wee fishing town so there isn't much going on but we enjoyed walking around and climbed the hill to see the old castle which gave spectacular views. We wandered in a few shops and had nice chats with everyone. Breakfast was spectacular and we left for Isla well rested and ready for our journey. Thank you!"
