Easy base to walk around town and access restaurants. Didn't hear a peep from outside or any other guests. Reception staff were super helpful in organising an early morning ride to Tawau and got us a great price. Only negative would be that i found the bed way too hard... felt like 10cm of padding on top of a slab of wood. Don't know that i could have handled more than 2 nights purely from the mattress perspective. It was clean, felt new, affordable, and has an elevator. It’s across the street from the seafood court. Kam Ling is wonderful. They smelled like they didn't put detergent in the laundry and it smelled really horrible. Even when I was sleeping face up, I could still smell it. Not a pleasant experience. I was quite sick when I arrived. The desk told me where to find a health clinic and it was a positive experience. Also found me a breakfast place near the hotel. The local breakfast was not the best. The air conditioner was too floral for me and I mentioned it to the desk and they immediately changed the air filters. Good area for shopping for essentials.
