The di e centers are vety close (we can really recommend "salt divers" with their daily dive trips to the rainbow reef) and also the restaurant inside the Lodge. We loved the delicous food. The staff was very helpful in organizing our trip to the Bouma waterfall. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Just perfect for the 2 of us. Its quiet, amazing 180 degree views of the ocean and the islands,beautiful garden with the old gracious mango tree and comfortable bed, and value for money compared to our stays in resorts. Helen arranged for delicious home cooked Fijian meals to be delivered to our door at half of the price of elsewhere You can walk to other cafes and supermarket. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, had a wonderful easy time and were very sorry to leave. This isn't a hotel or resort - it's a homestay and we really felt at home. Jale, Nita, Sia and Jima are creative, interesting and generally exceptional people and perfect hosts. They can organise lots of things for you to do, but they don't 'push' anything. It's up to you. The food was REALLY excellent - some of the best food we've eaten, ever, anywhere. My two boys (aged 8 and 10) and I stayed for four nights and would have happily made it forty if we could have. Leaving was a bit of a shock to the system! If you and/or your kids like playing rugby, it's an especially great place. More broadly, Taveuni is a beautiful island - quiet but with things to see and do. Really worth a visit. Give it as much time as you can. Vinaka Vaka Levu - we look forward to coming back which we will certainly do.
