"Absolutely fabulous hotel , by far the nicest and cleanest hotel during our 14 night stay in Sri Lanka . Would love to have stayed longer"

"The staff were excellent and the breakfast amazing. "

"Lovely property very close to harbor but far enough away to be quiet. The room was comfortable and we had the ocean view version with a great view. Staff very nice and helpful."

"We loved our stay at Village Star Rest! The owners are such a wonderful family and are so kind and helpful. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is delicious and the location is perfect! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! "

"beautiful location with well kept grounds and friendly staff all around "

"Friendly helpful staff, location is beautiful, sunbeds with cushions and clean pool "

"The hotel is well located a few minutes walk to the beach. The staff are great and attentive to all your needs. They go the extra mile all the time to ensure your stay is special. Breakfast is excellent with all cusines available. The NY eve gala dinner had live music, superb food banquet and a beach bbq. Seafood, meat and sushi available. Like a wedding feast. Great fun and well organised."

"What an amazing place to stay. The views are gorgeous and staff is friendly. You will love your stay."

"Fantastiskt rum och härlig balkong med kvällssol. Snygg interiör och färgval. Fin personal, bra frukost. Vi hade en fin vistelse och det är ett fint hotell men vi tyckte det saknades lite ”feeling”, hotellet kändes överlag mörkt och tyst trots att det bodde mycket människor där. Hade varit trevligt med lite musik på eftermiddagen/ kvällen som gav stället lite mer energi, tror det även hade lockat dit fler folk. "

"Love the food, location and service"

"The place is absolutely divine! Staff were really good However the only negative is the lack of Sri Lankan cuisine options for breakfast! I also do wish the hotel shared a guide of where to go have other meals as the hotel doesn’t offer this too!"

"Great vacation spot close to the beach! Turtles often come right up in front of the property, and Talpe Natural Pool Beach is just a short walk away. It’s a perfect place for a family getaway. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We truly felt at home during our stay. Highly recommended!"

"This was actually our second stay at Lum as when our flights were delayed we wanted a little haven to relax and enjoy our extra time in the South. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and everything about the complex made it feel like a lovely place to stay. Fresh, spacious, clean rooms that surrounded a relaxing garden and a beautiful pool area. We ate out for most meals but also sampled the breakfast and main menu here and all the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. I would...

"Great views, great food, great spa!"

"Very lovely place to stay in Ahangama. Beach is wide unlike other hotels. You can watch surfing in the morning. Rooms are big, air con great, food taste and staff amazing."

"One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! So beautiful and relaxing. Unique architecture and super friendly staff. "

"A great boutique hotel in colonial style, extremely relaxing atmosphere with wonderful staff, super helpful in all matters."
