"This is such an enjoyable house. I highly recommend it for any families, including those with kids/teenagers. Communication was excellent, very quick responses and suggestions mainly by Nadine our main contact host. Instructions and information about the house very clear and easy to follow. However, thanks to the rest of the hosts, Shawna, Mike and Suzanne for their contributions to make our stay outstanding. Exactly as advertised. Beds super comfortable. Plenty of extra bedding and towels. The pool was a plus, along with so many toys and other sports supplies to keep kids and teenagers entertained. The beach is like a block away, so convenient. This is an amazing place."

"Beautiful property with an incredible view. The driveway is not for the faint-hearted, ensure you have a 4x4 capable vehicle and avoid coming after dark for your first night. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to make a couple meals at home. Our host Carlos was a extremely attentive and helpful throughout the stay. Would definitely come back some day!"

"Kitchen is adequate for basic cooking, when using the oven you'll have to light w/a lighter. The pool is great after a long, hot day, it's not for swimming but very cooling!This is our 2nd stay at this property, we're looking at booking for 2027."

"This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Montezuma. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly. We even got an upgrade from a regular room to a balcony and they let us check in a few hours early because the room was ready. Hotel was clean and quiet. We saw a ton of wildlife right outside of our room… monkeys, iguanas, squirrels and a ton of unique birds. The location was perfect allowing you to walk to the beach and the main street where all of the stores and restaurants are. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. "

"We had a really good stay at El Sano Banano overall. The highlight was definitely the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Miguel at the restaurant, who was our favorite server. He went above and beyond and made our experience even better. The hotel itself was clean and well-kept, and the location is fantastic — just a short walk to the beach and right in the heart of town, which made everything super convenient. That said, there are a few smaller things that could be improved to make the stay even better. The WiFi in the room was quite slow, and the in-room safe wasn’t working. The window coverings are bamboo-style and let in a lot of light at night and early morning, plus they don’t offer much privacy from the street. At the restaurant, the food was good but a bit limited — the only protein option available was shredded chicken. For the complimentary breakfast, only one coffee is included with no refills, which felt a bit restrictive. Housekeeping could also be improved, as our dirty towels weren’t replaced during room cleanings. The room itself is fairly basic — no TV or fridge — which may matter depending on your preferences. Water pressure in both the shower and sink would occasionally cut out for about 20 seconds before coming back, which was a bit frustrating. We also weren’t able to get early check-in, and our room wasn’t ready until about 10 minutes after the official check-in time, even though there appeared to be other "
