The Sunrise Condominium Resort is located on the main beach and surf break in town, It is literally a 2 minute walk from the patio door to the sand on the beach. Centrally located for easy access to restaurants, shopping, beach days and pampering. Located 300 feet north of the Diria Hotel, 400 feet to the sand and in the epicenter of all things good.

The complex features 24-hour security, secure parking, and cascading waterfalls into an over-sized swimming pool with an attached kiddie pool. The complex is surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars, clubs, souvenir shopping, grocery stores, a tourist office, bank, nail salon, casino, rentals, and an internet cafe - all within walking distance. In addition, there are three surf shops located just outside of the Sunrise complex and more nearby.

The unit is meticulously curated, and often updated to keep with the normal "wear and tear" We take strides to make your experience as comfortable as possible. The unit is located on the ground level facing the pool and is just seconds to the beach and all the restaurants and shops in town.

Perfect family vacation

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful VRBO in Tamarindo! The location is perfect for walking to the beach (across the street), restaurants, shops, bars, farmers market, etc. The owner was wonderful when communicating with us! The pool is fabulous!

Perfect location, no car needed!

Plenty of room for 6 adults (3 couples) & 2 teens to stay. Located across from beach access & walking distance to grocery, coffee, dining & nightlife. We had a rental car, but did not need it at all during our stay. Condo grounds are gated & guarded. Large pool & lounge area. Would love to return!

Winter get away with friends!

We loved the location, close to beach and town. Zach was quick to respond to any questions we had and hooked us up with a driver to and from the airport. Our driver was very helpful and stopped at the market for us on the way into town. We had 3 couples in our unit with ample room for everyone. We met many people at the pool that own their units and enjoyed their company. I hope to come back to CR and would certainly stay here again. Thank you, Zach, for sharing your home with us.

Not a peaceful environment

The inside was nice and accommodating. It would have been nice to have a safe to store our passports while at the beach. This is being rated as a 1 start due to the noise level of the complex. Drunks every evening until early hours of the morning, disco nearby so you are lying in bed to the beat of the music. And due to the lovely balconies, early morning coffee drinkers recalling their days for all in the complex to hear. If you want some sleep, this is not the place to be.

Five-Star Experience in Tamarindo – Felt Like Home!

Our stay at the Sunrise Condominiums in Tamarindo during the first week of May was nothing short of exceptional. From our first communication with our host, Zach, to our airport pickup by Victor, to the smooth checkout process—every detail was handled with care and professionalism.Zach was an incredible host. He stayed in regular contact with us before and during our trip, ensuring our check-in was seamless and that we had everything we needed to feel settled in. His attentiveness and thoughtful recommendations tailored to our family's interests truly stood out. It felt like we had a local guide and friend supporting us every step of the way.The condo itself was absolutely beautiful—clean, spacious, modern, and stocked with every amenity we could have asked for. The beds, linens, and furnishings were incredibly comfortable, making it feel like our own private oasis for the week. The pool area was pristine and relaxing, and the property was perfectly located—just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the beach.We had one of our best vacations here, and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Spacious condo, excellent location!

The condo was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 1 child. Spacious, right by the pool, and excellent location. We walked everywhere! The only thing I can think of that would be nice to have in the unit would be beach towels so we didn’t have to use bath towels at the pool and beach but all other amenities were fantastic.Going to the office for check in seemed a little unnecessary- they gave me a key that didn’t work so I wound up returning it. There’s a number pad on the door anyways so you don’t even need a key.The host, Zach, was exceptional! He was incredibly responsive and took the time to send us information about favorite restaurants, things to do in the area, and explained how the local currency works. He provided contact information for a driver for us to/from the airport which was also very much appreciated! He even checked in with me a couple times during the stay to make sure everything was going well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the condo for our first time in Costa Rica and would definitely stay again!

Optimal location for all things Tamarindo

We had two families with total of 4 adults and kids ages 14, 11, and 11. Sunrise Condos and this unit in particular were perfect to be able to stay together, not be crowded, and access anything in Tamarindo very easily. Once we parked, we never needed to use the car as everything is in walking distance. Check in process was super simple although it's confusing as to why you have to go to Marlin del Rey to get a key when you just use a code to access to the unit. Also, the parking guard was confused when our friends showed up later and needed a place to park. Condo unit was well stocked with basic necessities. Accommodations are ~3.5 stars (definitely nice but not super high end). We only made breakfasts at the condo as there are sooo many good restaurant options in town. The chairs for the beach were great. Things that could help improve stay are: - Laundry soap - we left some after buying at the grocery store; I hope it's there for the next people - Nicer bedding -- sheets are a bit thin, limited blankets - Beach umbrella or tent -- it is HOT at the beach and you need some shade - Real beach towels to bring to the beach vs. using the bathroom towels - Some basic cooking items like salt, pepper, cooking spray All of this stuff is available at nearby shops but relatively expensive to buy when you're only there such a short time. Finally, there is a BluRay player and a great selection of DVDs but none of them worked -- said it was the wrong country code.

Final stop on our 21 day trip

This property is located right in the middle of downtown. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Everyday we headed out to a different beach and ended the day in the pool. The kids loved it! The condo is right off the pool but far enough away that your not disturbed by pool noise, perfect. The condo itself was very spacious and comfortable for a party of 8, but it is in desperate need of repair and maintenance thou. Almost every single appliance (washer, dryer, dishwasher, Air conditioner, refrigerator, blender, toaster, toilet, beach chairs, deck chairs, kitchen stools, Tv's, knives) were broken or about to break. We spent our first dinner in the condo with a repair man on the floor in the kitchen attempting to fix the washing machine. He was unsuccessful. The last day we were there even the pool waterfall was out of order. These were small nuisance items that didn't ruin our experience but definitely were annoying since we thought we were splurging on our final location in country. One serious issue with the condo thou is the exterior sliding door is installed inside out. Which means you can't lock or block it. Instead of correcting the install, there is a pin that was rigged onto the door to try and fasten it but the slightest vibration makes it fall out leaving the condo completely unsecure. Which happened almost daily! Little unerving with thousands of dollars

The condo is in a prime location, walking distance to everything: beach, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, excursions. The home is very well stocked with everything you could need. I loved that items like beach chairs, a cooler, beach blankets, boogies boards and several extra towels were available. For our large group there was plenty of space and beds available. Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time in this condo, well stocked and lots of space. Location is close to everything so you don’t need to rent a car, short walk to shopping and restaurants, tours will pick you up out front, beach across the street. Pool is perfect with a sunny side and shady side and plenty of room. Overall a great place to stay. Bring bug spray for tiny knats though.

We loved this Condo!!

The living area and bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped although we only made coffee and breakfast. There are sooo many great restaurants in Tamarindo. The pool is nice and big. The ocean is right across the street and the beach is perfect. Soft sand and the swimming is perfect for families and surfing. We would definitely stay here again!
