Additional bedding includes: the couch (2), a very small child bed, and a pack 'n' play. Beyond 10 people and you will feel crowded. Note: per Placer County short term rental policy enacted 4/1/22, occupancy is limited to 10 people after 9pm and 15 people during the daytime. Gambling casinos 25 minutes away or a 1 hour drive to Reno or South Shore. World class golf, 30 courses 10 min. to 1½ hours away. Our home has a large back yard with a lawn. The yard is ringed with pines, quaking Aspens and natural foliage. Enjoy an evening game of bocce ball, throw darts or a round of horse shoes. We have a spacious patio with lounges and outdoor speakers. Dine outside on one of the many gorgeous summer evenings. Landscape lighting illuminates the trees all around. In the winter, build snow forts and unleash epic snow ball battles. Snow ball makers, sleds and snow provided. Note: Starting in 2021, the HOA members voted to make the recreational facilities available to members only. Sadly, the beach, pool and tennis courts will no longer be available to our guests. There are a few public beaches nearby and tennis courts at the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista (6 miles). A list of beaches can be found in our information binder at the house and emailed upon request. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. New, strict rules are in place for short term rentals with limits on the number of people, 10 after 9pm and no parking on the street. There is only room for three vehicles in our parking area, but is not guaranteed. Winter storms may limit the available space due to heavy snow loads and the ability for us to hire a secondary snow removal company or your ability to shovel the sides. Our primary company only keeps 90% of the area clear. Size of vehicles may also limit access. Quiet hours are from 9pm - 8am. Fines start at $1,500 and repeat violations can result in revocation of our STR permit. We loved the big island in the kitchen and that it was fully stocked with the kitchen tools, pans, dishes, and everything needed. It is both cozy and spacious and the front deck and back yard are nice areas to hang out. Total 8 people and our pets were there comfortably. We enjoyed the house, very spacious and super well furnished, well maintained with picturesque signs everywhere indicating how things work, very helpful! We spend a few winter days there and the location is perfect. Homewood was closed, so we drove to Diamond Peak, just under 30min, no issues. We also walked to Skylandia, a nice little hike, and Tahoe City is very close by. The owner was very flexible and allowed us to barbecue during the winter, since luckily there was no snow. We can tell the house is very cared for, cozy, and references to bears are everywhere - thankfully we didn't have any encounter :) We'll certainly consider Le Shack in our next Tahoe trip! ##### Luis D. I’ll echo what others say, the pictures don’t quite do it justice. It really is a great cabin and the location is so hard to beat.Michael is a fantastic host, super friendly and easy to communicate with. We had 2 dogs, 4 kids including a 11 month old and 5 adults and the layout allows for nooks and hangout spots for kids and adults to hang together or get some privacy. The loft was perfect for the kids and the full bathroom.up there was clutch when getting adults and kids ready in the morning. Location wise you are right in Tahoe city, 20 min to palisades and Homewood or 40 for Northstar.Hell you can even get to Incline is about 30 min.Also, kitchen is massive and tons of supplies, we had a great homecooked meal on our last night.We would stay again and it’s a great location for summer too. Description of the house, yard, bedrooms, neighborhood, HOA rules were accurate. It would’ve been really nice if we could have used the HOA facilities, especially access to the beach for Fourth of July. From this location, we were unable to see the drone display from Tahoe city. Of course, since it was the holidays, the traffic and beaches were packed. The drive to Kings Beach was not bad. I really enjoyed walking through Tahoe city and visiting the local shops and eateries. My only recommendation would be to include portable air conditioners in the summer since most locations in Tahoe are not equipped with air conditioning and temperatures are definitely rising. My family and I enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable with all the space and beautiful yard. Thank you for having us. ##### Christina K.
