((Please take a moment to watch the video)The large picture windows provide breathtaking views of the Bay and Old Town Tacoma. Lay in bed and watch the ships come in to port. The spacious property provides plenty of room to gather outside on one of the two balconies or lawn areas and enjoy your time. Shoot some basketball while others are enjoying an outdoor meal. Rainy days in Tacoma are beautiful when seen gazing out the window from in front of the cozy fireplace. The firework show from your balcony on the fourth of July is nothing short of amazing. We made sure to pick out new comfortable mattresses for all six of the bedrooms. Coffee maker, large TV, washer and dryer and all the kitchen items you will need to make yourself at home during your stay.

Close to everywhere you need and want to be, Prospect Hill is one of the most sought after areas of Tacoma. Prospect Hill is an upscale, safe and beautiful neighborhood.

This home has been in our family for over 40 years. It is such a special place. It was such a blessing having coffee each day on the balcony, opening your eyes each morning and looking out at the harbor before your feet even hit the floor, gathering together for dinner parties, bbq lunches outside on the lawn or just enjoying time with those you love, this is the place you want to be.

Although we no longer live at this home, we have decided to keep it in the family and share it with others for vacation, short term rental or business travel. You will love this home and this setting and we will love knowing that you are enjoying it.

      Great Stay Over the Holidays
The pictures of the house were great and it didn't disappoint in real life. My family and I had a great time. Our host was excellent - great communication. Very clean, great neighborhood. There were 9 of us and it fit us very comfortably. We were able to walk to a few restaurants and bars. Museums nearby (a short drive). Overall a great stay. We'd definitely recommend this place and would stay there again. Total thumbs up!

This was a wonderful place for a gathering. Beautiful house with breathtaking view! Very responsive hosts, Daily adventures and hikes. But the kitchen was amazing. We cooked all our meals together because we love cooking! And there was every kind of cooking implement we needed! Everything was perfect!

      Beautiful views
Our family enjoyed our fall visit to the Pacific Northwest. Beautiful views from a historic location. The owners were so easy to work with and shared plenty of helpful tips. Be sure to budget time for coffee on the porch each morning - it’s just breathtaking.

      An absolutely amazing home
Our family rented this house when we came to Tacoma for our son’s wedding and we couldn’t be happier… the house was meticulous, the views amazing and the owners easy to communicate with. We were able to walk almost everywhere and really enjoyed the neighborhood

Incredible family home with an amazing view
We had such a wonderful time staying at 106 Orchard. There were 7 of us including an infant and a 4 year old. We all loved having coffee on the porch every morning watching the ships go by. You can even see the top of Rainier on a clear day! The host, Annie, was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. Check in and checkout were smooth and easy. We really cannot say enough great things about this home and we hope to return in the future. One small thing— the train is pretty loud in the mornings so I’d recommend running the fan or bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

      It’s the view!
We were in Tacoma for a family wedding. We filled most rooms with family, and had a couple of friends of the bride use the extras. It was big enough for everyone to have space. We had a small party after the rehearsal, and all sat on the downstairs balcony to watch the city, the bay and the mountains. The kitchen was well-appointed (we never cooked a dinner), and filled all our needs. We racked our brains to see if there was anything negative about the house, and didn’t think of any. But it’s the view that makes the house; if I returned for another week, I’d plan some mornings and evenings to just sit on one of the balconies and watch Old Town and Commencement Bay. We saw an eagle, a sailing regatta, cargo ships, and even had a couple of Ranier sightings. Can’t recommend the house strongly enough!

      Family Home with Beautiful View
Our extended family came to Tacoma from around the country to spend time together. This home was perfect for enjoying one another's company and the beautiful scenery. With two decks, we enjoyed the picturesque views of Puget Sound and Commencement Bay, and loved watching a nesting bald eagle. The house itself was well appointed and the bedrooms were roomy. It got a little hot in July without AC, but open windows created a good breeze at night. There is a second unit in the basement of the house, but outside of the car, we heard or saw nothing. Annie, the property owner/manager, could not have been more responsive and helpful throughout our stay. She was great to work with!
