No AC on a hot summer day!

Posted 11-Aug-2017
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: New AC! The bathrooms could use some upgrades.
Location: The Tacoma Dome is walking distance. Only reason to stay here
There are only two good things I can say about my stay at this hotel: it's walking distance to the Tacoma Dome and the breakfast was great. Other than that this hotel stay was terrible. Apparently the AC was not working. We were not informed of this when we checked in. Had I known, I would have gone and bought a fan or at least left my window open. When we returned to our room after the concert (around 11 pm), it was miserable. I called down to the front desk and was told that they are aware that the rooms are warm and that the AC is not working "very well." I did open the window which helped but made the room quite loud until the wee hours due to a bar across the street and allowed the smoke from smokers to come in (both tobacco and marijuana). I asked the front desk staff if I could leave and get a refund. They said I had to deal with Expedia. Expedia called them and were told that there was not a manager on duty that could approve any type of refund or future credit. Expedia did try to find me another room but everything was sold out due to the Lady Gaga concert. Expedia said they would give me $100 credit for the inconvenience (that NEVER happened). People stay in hotels not just for convenience but also for comfort... this stay was anything but comfortable.

Needs better trained staff. Need to act more professional and remember that people understand spanish and they shouldn't be doing small side remarks thinking that no one will hear them.

they dont put in effort

I had requested that both rooms I reserved be put side by side. I had reserved them many months in advance, they said they would do it and even put notes in the itinerary. We got there to check in and they said oops sorry. It was four parties, they only wanted to give us 2 parking passes. Complimentary breakfast was minimal quality.

$$$$$ Day of Concerts. Overpriced.

You definitely pay an arm & leg for the convenience to the Tacoma Dome. Overall a nice hotel. I could had paid for 3 nights in Vegas compared to this 1 night here. They made some $$ off the concert goers for sure. I paid for the convenience since I had my daughter and her friend with me and we are not familiar with this area.

Great place to stay if your going for a concert. Only drawback was hallways were really hot! Good breakfast and good drinks in the bar.

Excellent location next to Tacoma Dome

Posted 31-Jul-2017
Pros: Location! Cleanliness.
Cons: Parking is limited - we were allowed to park in staff parking as the spots were all taken.
Location: Tacoma Dome next door.
Hotel is located next door to the Tacoma Dome. We went to attend a concert and could not have been more pleased at the ease of walking next door after the concert versus waiting in the horrible traffic. Hotel was nice. Breakfast was decent for a hotel, only complaint was it said served 6am-10am and it was not ready at 6am. Normally that would not be a concern but we were on a time rush to drop a child off at camp an 8 hr drive away so it made our time a little difficult. Staff was very friendly except for one gal who asked me to check back the next morning and said she couldn't help me with a question. However, they were ridiculously busy unexpectedly with a military ball at the dome that night. All in all I would say a good choice and great value - will definitely stay there again without hesitation if we attend another concert at the Tacoma Dome.

Great location for concerts

Posted 26-Jul-2017
Pros: proximity to dome, breakfast, free parking
Cons: queen beds would be nice
Arrived and were promptly checked in, friendly staff. We were able to get a parking spot. Very close to Tacoma Dome, 1 minute walk across a parking lot. Staff kept the bar/food area open after the concert which was awesome as we were starving. Room was clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good. They even had an omelet station. Food was hot and they served it from 6-10am which was nice. The only downside was the 2 double beds, would have been nice to have a queen. And of course the crazy price we paid being a concert night, but the convenience and breaky were worth it.

The hotel was in a good location, the room was clean and the breakfast was nice. We would definitely stay there the next time we visit Tacoma.
