It was hard to rate my stay, because it was a mixture of excellent & bad. The staff at the front desk were wonderful, esp. the young man who waited on me. I wished that I could see his name tag so that I could send Best Western a message of his excellent customer service. He was on duty 6/9 around 4 pm & later. He seemed part Hispanic, maybe, He was great. The location, parking, & room were great. Here is the bad part, which I really think should not have happened. On Wed. about 8:30 pm, I called this hotel to make sure they got my message from the person I talked to at Expedia, & I believe she gave them the message. It was that I am highly allergic to feather pillows & that style could not be in the room. The person at the Tacoma Dome hotel said that she didn't know what kind of pillows they have. She didn't offer any advice or whatever. She sounded very young. She said, "Well, nobody has ever complained about our pillows, so they couldn't have feathers in them."
When I arrived at the hotel front desk, I learned that they use feather pillows. A woman who could speak Spanish called down to the person in charge in housekeeping. That person told her that they only have feather pillows, that they didn't have a single pillow without feathers. Lot's of people are allergic to feathers & I have never found a hotel without some non-feather pillows. I had no pillow for the night. That is the reason for the "2 rating for room comfort."
