I stayed here while visiting my daughter who is attending WCU. It is a charming, eclectic home. Great location, close to cute shops and restaurants. I felt right at nome and would definitely stay here again!
The good: Great location. Clean and comfortable. Love the mid century modern accents! Nice layout. Nice view from the deck. Short walk downtown down the hill.
The bad: The walk back is up a hill. But wirth the view!
Nice old home. Very comfortable and modern. The room heaters work well. Nice bathroom and large living room. To watch TV, you need to mirror from your streaming mobile. It worked for me fine, but most people probably don’t need TV with the surroundings of the Smokey Mountains. The house was in close walking distance to town (although very steep). It was a unique place and worked for us. Some of the neighboring homes seemed abandoned and in bad shape, but didn’t bother us much as we were only at the property in the evening. Overall a nice place and as described.
The host was very welcoming and provided alternate directions into the driveway which were very helpful. The house is very nice, well-decorated and appointed with all the necessities. The view from the deck was beautiful and the proximity to downtown Sylva was great! Would stay again!
This is a comfortable house two blocks from the heart of Sylva. There are spectacular views of the mountains; in the mornings we drank coffee and watched the clouds dissipate in the hills. The host was friendly and answered all our questions promptly. We plan to stay here again!
This house and location are perfect!! The house is decorated with antiques which took us back in time. We all dialed our childhood numbers on the rotary phones which our teenage sons thought was hilarious. We had 4 adults staying there and our kids and girlfriends from WCU visited us and we had plenty of room! They parked at the house and we walked to downtown. This is an easy walk down, but the way back up was a little hard. It was good exercise. The beds are also great. They are so comfy! We are already planning our next trip. I have nothing but great things to say about this house and host! It was a GREAT weekend and we will be back!
