"This is a discount hotel and we knew that when we booked it so we tried to set expectations accordingly. We were happy with the hotel overall and would recommend it to friends looking for an affordable stay in Sydney. It is an older hotel and the main reason I gave it a lower score is because our bathroom fan didn’t work, the bathroom smelled musty and the shower curtain definitely needed to be changed. There was no bath mat to use when you got out of the shower so the floor was very wet and we constantly had to put towels down to dry it up. Otherwise the room was pretty quiet, the bed was comfortable, the little balcony was a nice touch and we were able to walk to a lot of places from the hotel. There are a lot of steps and hills around the hotel so I would definitely recommend getting a ride from/to the airport when you arrive and leave with your luggage. The included breakfast honestly made up for the musty smelling bathroom. Not many hotels include breakfast anymore and the one at this location was well executed. They had fruits, eggs, breads, cereals, meats, bean, tomatoes, juices, coffee (even have an espresso machine to make lattes) and they had non-dairy milk options!"

"Friendly and helpful staff on our 'down under' trip. Gave us an excellent high toom with views over Sydney Harbour. A little way from the main centre but frequent buses and rail/trams made getting around easy"

"Nice funky hotel. Small narrow hallways but bright and clean. Easy check in, coffee shop in the lobby with food options. Beds and pillows are ok. The area is great next to police station. "

"Cheapest room I could find in central Sydney, can’t complain. Clean sheets and en-suite. Well located next to central for the day trips I had to take and the area is well lit for coming back at night. Good for solo traveller. Reception staff kindly allowed me to store my bags and use the bathroom to get changed when I arrived early in the day."
