It was very hands off-- you go, retrieve your key from the lock box and let yourself in. But it is a gorgeous old building built like a fancy plantation - castle, in the middle of a small coastal town in pristine Maine, with a pool and a fitness center. I didn't realize it at first, but my room had a hallway to another living room area, with a balcony to sit and watch the sunrise from. Wow! Yeah, it's a great place.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cleanliness was excellent as well as the staff we interacted with. The room was clean and comfortable. Although somewhat outdated, it was quaint. We stayed in the Rockport King Suite that provided most everything we needed. It had a small kitchenette with a microwave, larger refrigerator, and even a sink. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot of some kind in the room. However, coffee was available downstairs. Breakfast was provided daily, but self-serve options, not a true restaurant. The location was great! Close to everything we wanted to visit. There is also a miniature golf course on site which was unique! There is an indoor pool and hot tub which was nice and a small gym that was clean and provided enough to get in a good workout. I would stay here again. Overall it was very nice.

What a beautiful place. Absolutely amazing getaway spot. Clean, quiet, gorgeous views! Neighbors were great. What a nice area. We had to shorten our stay unfortunately due to a hurricane, but the owners were so nice and generous. Highly recommend this gem!
