Very nice house in a quiet area near route 1, easy access to Selfoss or Hveragerdi. The house is very practical, well equipped and cosy.

We loved the location of the property being a few min to either selfoss or Hveragerdi. The property was beautiful with the horses and the view of the river. The main living area and bedrooms were comfortable. Alot of antique personal items placed in cottage.The bathroom is a seperated by a foyer area. The ceiling needs to be redone. And, even with essential oils and scented beads i could not rid of the old rose and mildew smell in the bathroom. This is a very old cottage that was mostly renovated but still needs kitchen cabinets, countertop and ceilings done. Everything is functional but if you expect 5 star this is not the place for you. Essentials like coffee, tea, toilet paper and a roll of paper towels are provided. I thought this was very thoughtful. My main set back was the fact there were no room darkening shades and it is light out 24 hrs a day at this time of the year. It really affected us and our quality of sleep. The cottage could benefit from a coffee maker. They do have a hot water kettle for instant coffee and some old fashioned coffee steeper. But, no coffee maker with a pot. Over all we enjoyed our stay and the location.

We love it!!!!

The house is very cozy and the owner is super nice and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there!!! Highly recommend this place if you ever come to Iceland.
