"We stayed at Hotel Santa Barbara for two nights and honestly had such a great experience. We picked it for the location (you really can’t beat it) and the fact that it’s dog-friendly—and they absolutely delivered on both. Check-in was quick and easy, and they immediately gave my dog Lobo a treat, which obviously won them points right away. They offer dog bowls and beds, and we ended up using the bed—which Lobo approved of, so that says everything. The hotel itself is super clean, updated, and just really beautifully decorated without feeling over the top. It felt comfortable but still a little elevated, if that makes sense. At checkout, Alex and Christine were at the front desk and came over to give Lobo some birthday love (yes… we were celebrating his 12th 😅), which was such a sweet touch. Every single employee we interacted with—from valet to housekeeping—was genuinely friendly and welcoming. They do offer valet, and the gated parking at night made me feel really safe leaving my car there, which I appreciated. We’d absolutely stay here again—no question."

"This was my husband and I’s second time at this hotel and it is always such an amazing stay! Everything about this hotel is so intentional and the design is truly unique. I love how they utilize space and create an amazing calming ambiance. The staff were friendly, the check in and checkout is so quick and easy. Everything is clean and the free drip coffee was just a great addition. This is our go to stay in Santa Barbara and will always be! :)"

"Room was clean, but had multiple light bulbs that were out and a bathroom light/fan switch that didn’t work. Staff was not very friendly. Location is good, with lots of restaurants within walking distance."

"Breakfast was ok, bread/pastries were very processed/packaged, sausage and eggs were mediocre and eggs were watery; not too many options, cheap/Smart and Final-purchased products; the room had some mold in the bathroom and could have been better cleaned in many areas; vending machines advertised were empty and decrepit; better toiletries would be nice; in-room tea would have been nice; property overall was a little funky and not clean or updated"
