Pros-Great breakfast and dinner. Cheese fondue was the best we’ve had. .Location in old town. Saturday fresh market. Cons-Old hotel. No elevators. Lots of stairs. It was more like a hostel. No A/C on hot days but they did provide a fan. Too far to walk from strain station on cobblestone streets. Can be a challenging hotel for seniors with luggage.

I booked this hotel expecting basic amenities, especially a hot shower and a comfortable night’s sleep. Unfortunately, there was no hot water during my stay, making it impossible to shower. This completely defeated one of the main reasons I booked the hotel. I informed the front desk, but the issue was not resolved in a timely manner, and there was no compensation offered. A functioning hot water system is a basic expectation for any hotel, and not having it significantly impacted my stay.

The hotel has great air conditioning! I was there during a heat wave & the room temperature could be adjusted unlike some other nearby hotels. The staff was polite and helpful. The tram is right outside the front door and only 3 stops to the train station. My only suggestion is to have a mini fridge. It would have been helpful for cold drinks and snacks during the heat wave.
