"Easy check-in, close to Main Street action, small casino and bar for adults, arcade and mini golf for kids, breakfast was good and well stocked. It was a very good experience and will stay again on our next trip to the Deadwood area. Trolley stop right at the front door. Lots of parking."

"Deadwood Gulch is an awesome place to stay. The staff was very friendly. It was easy check in online. It was easy check out. The casino was great. Everything was nice and clean and tidy. The front desk, young lady was very friendly and helpful. Another young man by the name of Yohan was so friendly and so accommodating, and is a great asset to the hotel! I will be back in August to stay with you for a few days. And I will always come back and stay."

"The check in process was clunky at best. I did not receive in advance a room assignment and access code. There were no staff on site to assist. Took 45 minutes just to get checked in. We stayed 3 nights and there was no room service to replenish things like coffee pods. Two people had only 2 pods for 3 nights - and no apparent way to request additional ones. The room had no heater other than a small space heater and no extra blankets - we had to sleep in layers. On the first day the lights went off and it took several hours before anyone to remedy the problem. My impression is that this property is undergoing a change in ownership and systems and it isn't quite ready for guests."

"Clean and neat rooms, charming and friendly reception, and a tasty (though limited) breakfast selection. It's located in a small town, so it's very quiet."

"Room was ok, we had a king suite. Tv was placed on dresser so it was hard to watch from the bed. The bed pillows were small for a king bed, more like a throw pillow. Bathroom did have an oversized bathtub, but you really didn’t want to use it for the bathroom fan was so loud! Our coffeemaker was missing a part so couldn’t make coffee in am. When we told him at front desk, he replied, ‘we have coffee down here.’The lounge area had chairs pushed off to the side and you always had to go get someone for help. The TV didn’t work in the breakfast area. Keep in mind this was off season for them, so hopefully it will get better business picks up for them. The price an location was good."

"This was a stop over on a business trip from Colorado to Minnesota. This one day was the highlight of my week. A great way to relax and enjoy. Staff was wonderful and accomodations were plenty. WE ate at the restaurant, great food, great view and staff was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond. Thank you to the Spearfish Lodge! We will be back! "
