Great place.. loved the kitchen and fireplace. Everything was clean and ready to go for us.. we had a blast. Hot tub was epic nice scenery. Highly recommend this place
The sky is amazing here, best star gazing I’ve done. You can hear coyotes and we saw lots of birds. There are many day hikes or just stuff to see if you stay a few days. Definitely will come back to do more side quests! The house was quaint and simple, owner was really responsive. Didn’t have any concerns during our stay.

This place was a dream. If you aren't use to being out in the country, it may not be your thing, but for us this is part of the charm as it is a beautiful, quiet retreat away from people and the busy day to day life. We would definitely consider coming back.
Smooth check-in and a robust kitchen. Top-notch hot tub with an incredible view of the stars and distant summer storms. Great place to walk or stage a hike in the surrounding high desert. A well-accommodated home base for a vacation.

It was beautiful and a cool place. There was just no blankets and it was a bit dirty in some areas.
Great location, right on the lake, very nice house. As others mentioned there are bugs, but what do you expect being right on the lake. Beautiful view from the hot tub. As the host mentioned, there can be a sulfur smell from the water. Make sure to bring your own drinking water. Overall a great stay enjoying the beautiful high desert of Oregon!
Check in info was perfectly explained. House was a bit dusty, more than likely due to winds off the lake. Shower curtain was not fastened at the back side of the tub and caused huge leak, good thing we had more than two towels with us. Shower head should be cleaned as it likes to spray random water. View was spectacular. After a small issue of the wifi, our stay was nice. We did not use linens or towels provided but brought our own. We cleaned up after ourselves using the vacuum provided.

The Beauty and the Bugs
This home is stunning, the views are breathtaking and the silence and solitude is vast. In mid-June with temps mid-70's we found once opened up, it was very pleasant with fans circulating the air. Great well appointed kitchen but do plan to bring your own basics (coffee, oil, etc) but plenty of cooking instruments, plates, utensils (but only two butter knives). Memory foam beds were basic but comfy queens. Hot tub was wonderful. The stars at night can't be beat. As a rental property there are some things that can be improved and some that have to be expected. It's in an area that has a lot of bugs. Flying bugs, crawling bugs, slithering bugs. If bugs bug ya then this might not be the place for you! You are 30 minutes from a town that has basics but not luxuries so plan accordingly. Once booked we had zero contact with property manager despite messaging him/her the day before the trip. While the listing says bring blankets, there are plenty of towels and sheets, and spare blankets and pillows in the closets. Check in instructions were solid and easy. Oh, lastly, we were highly allergic to something in the air or in the house - both my husband and myself were congested and pretty miserable with sneezing and stuffy noses the whole time. Not the area as we've been here before and not had any issues. Just, bring allergy meds!

The home is beautiful and strange. Night sky nerds, bird enthusiasts, bug/spider people, or folks seeking solitude and quiet must visit! Even the cows in the adjacent pasture were lovely.
Wonderful book and game selections were available.
There are a lot of bugs which have made their way inside from the out. There is no way to cool the home in the warm weather as the provided air conditioners could not keep up and adequate window coverings have not been installed. As we visited during a very warm week, we expected the heat and bugs outside but both were very much inside. After following the owner's instructions and advice, the home still did not dip below 80 degrees until the wee hours of the morning.
Kitchen is lovely and spacious and has everything one might need to make wonderful meals for a small group. The water filter inside the refrigerator is a fantastic touch.
Bathroom is spacious and clean. The roll-top, clawfoot shower/tub is a danger zone for even the most sure-footed human. The sides of the tub are pretty high and the bottom is rounded. Even with the foam (gross, -but at least they tried) gripper bathmat it's still a fall risk. Owners may consider warnings for folks who have children or ADA concerns. Also, there are no window coverings in the bathroom which is unnerving at night.
Beds were adequate. Linens were comfortable and clean. Bedrooms are big enough but not huge.
Hot tub is fantastic!
Overall, we would love to visit again in a different season.
