πΎ Bobcat Run - real log cabin w/ huge hot tub! Near Watauga Lake π€ & River π
Beautiful, secluded log cabin. 3 bedroom/2 bath, 1300 square feet. Accommodates 6 adults or a family perfectly. The cabin sits on the back side of Beech Mountain close to the Watuga River drop in, Laurel Creek Waterfall and Watauga Lake. Enjoy two covered porches - one in the front and one in the back. Our cabin offers privacy without total isolation. Easy access off the main road. The large hot tub is private on the rear side of the cabin. We have new outdoor cafe lighting to enjoy while you sit in the hot tub or grill on the gas grill! Everyone loves the fire pit in the evening- it is great for sβmores under the stars! There is a new outdoor table on the front porch to use for playing games, drinking morning coffee or enjoying your meals. The cabin has an easy to use remote control gas fireplace, wifi, cable TV, new washer/dryer, picnic table and stainless steel gas grill.
The Master Bedroom is located downstairs and has a king size bed with an attached bathroom. ADA handrails are installed in this tub/shower. The two upstairs bedrooms each have a queen size bed. There is a TV in the living room and one in the master bedroom. The cabin is well maintained and very clean. It is conveniently located near 3 ski resorts all about 30-60 minutes away. It is only a few miles to tube in the Watauga River near Cove Creek. Enjoy Laurel Creek Falls- a short 10 minute drive from the cabin. You may also enjoy a swimming hole in the Watauga River about a half mile from the cabin off Guy Ford Road.
We welcome pets (limit 2) and have a $50 pet fee payable with reservations. Please crate your pet(s) if you leave the cabin. We have 1 crate available. Pet bowls are provided along with plenty of room for your pet to play in the yard.
Unlike many other cabins, you do not need to start laundry or take away the trash at your departure. We also have a pest control service, monthly, to keep any bugs away, although we have not had any problems. Thank you for considering Bobcat Run! We look forward to hosting you!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bobcat Run for our 21st anniversary. Loved the privacy and it was well stocked with dishes, utensils, small appliances, towels and even some pantry items.
Loved it, very clean and secluded. Power went out during a wind storm but was back on in a reasonable amount of time. Check in and out was great. Loved the hot tub. Overall great we will be back
We had a weekend ski trip to Beech Mountain. It was a great weekend. The cabin was perfect for our family and we had everything we need. The host was great!!
We rented this property for ourselves and other family members for our daughter's wedding. This is a very clean well maintained property. I would definitely rent this property again.
Lovely cottage with nice facilities in secluded spot. Quiet, peaceful and short drive to Boone. Spa temperature a little too high for comfort and we found it difficult to adjust but this did not hinder our stay. Lovely cottage and enjoyed our visit.
We had a fantastic time at Bobcat Run! It was centrally located to all the main places we intended to visit (Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Watauga Lake). The house was very clean and well-stocked, beds were comfy, and the location was peaceful and quiet. No complaints whatsoever! We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.
Well stocked kitchen & bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Clean and quiet. Secluded location near Watauga River put-in with small, sandy beach area. 20 min drive into Boone. 30 min drive into Banner Elk. Good wifi.
We absolutely loved everything about Bobcat Run! From the location, scenery, local sights and attractions to all the simple things the cabin provides which together make for an ideal trip. The oversized hot tub and cozy beds made us never want to leave. The host is excellent and you can tell she poured her heart into the details. We will return, thatβs for sure! Thank you!!
We stayed here for our family's Christmas vacation. The cabin is very cozy. It's away but not too far away from town. We were looking for a place to just get away; not really "do" a lot, including visiting attractions. There are lots of places to hike and the drive to Beech Mountain is not far. The hot tub is really nice and clean. The host is impressively responsive to your inquiries, which we were very grateful for.
Stayed at the Bobcat Run cabin during a ski trip w/ the family. Cabin was excellent! Very clean and roomy for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We encountered an ice storm which made driving on the mountain roads a little sketchy but manageable. Ice storm created a power outage, but the owner was very attentive and had it restored. Owner was very communicative every time we had a question. The hot tub was fantastic each night after long days of skiing. Definitely recommend this cabin
This was our third visit to Bobcat Run and we enjoyed it as much as the others! Great location and wonderfully equipped.
I do want to note that there are at least 2 cameras outside of the property, one pointed toward the master bedroom window and one facing the parking area that are not disclosed. While I have nothing to hide, this was unsettling for me and I truly hope there are no cameras inside.
Bobcat Run is a lovely log cabin nestled in the trees on a mountain ridge. The drive up to the cabin is a bit steep and at the end of a twisty road, but definitely worth it once you arrive. The host of this property also did a great job in explaining everything to help prepare for the stay. The hot tub on the covered patio is wonderful after a day of hiking and the property has all the large beach towels you'll need.
The nearby town of Boone, NC has a fun downtown area with many little shops and restaurants. This location is 30 min - 1 hour from many Blue Ridge Mountain parks and sites of interest. Highly recommend this property for your western NC getaway!
Spring in the mountains makes up for the snow and ice of winter
This cabin shows all the signs of being well loved. Everything guests could need has been anticipated, from a tea kettle to toilet paper. Comfortable, cozy, and spotlessly clean describes the place. Our dog even loved the lion statues out front.
Last winter was especially hard on our family. We had to cancel once due to health problems, and the owner graciously helped us rearrange our plans. The opportunity to enjoy some quiet time in a charming cabin was just what we needed.
Very clean and nice cabin. TV didn't work very well. Fireplace wouldn't turn on
But it still was a great house. Very clean
Only negative was the road and driveway was so steep, it should have noted to us that a all wheel drive is recommended. Part of the road coming in had a partial washout right near the lumber mill, not safe.
This was our third time at Bobcat Run. This cabin is very clean and has everything you will need. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of games and seating, comfy beds and a luxury hot tub. We had coffee every morning on the porch listening to the birds. We played countless card games and ended almost every evening with time in the hotub. We made many meals. The location allowed for a visit to Asheville, Beech Mt, Banner Elk, Boone, and Grandfather Mt. The layout of the cabin allowed us to spend time together (2 teens and 2 adults) and have privacy also. Itβs a great place and we hope to visit in the fall next time.
Host is very responsive to any questions we had. House is very comfortable, close enough to everything but far enough to have peace. Loved our stay here!
