Restaurant located across was fantastic. One has to remember this is a pretty remote part of the north western fjords so don't expect the Ritz. Beds were comfortable, rooms good size, super clean and the food in the attached restaurant was excellent. Lovely place. Quiet little town that gives you a true feeling of being in the Iceland Fjords. As in many Icelandic hotels, the "double bed" was two twin beds pushed together. The walls are a bit thin, so we could hear the neighbor coughing, but otherwise no complaints. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the breakfast was good. There were a surprising number of guests for the relative remoteness of the location. Breakfast was included in the already reasonable room price, which is a definite bonus for Iceland. The town is about 15 minutes from both Ísafjörður and Flateryi, making the Fisherman a quieter place to sleep with easy access to the area's sights. There were a few downsides: the walls were on the thin side so there was some street noise.
