We loved the cabin! It was cozy and warm. Everything we needed was there. There was a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The cost was at great price point. Will definitely consider going there again!
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is super cute and the views are amazing. The set up outside is perfect for stargazing or drinking your morning coffee. There is also a picnic table and small grill. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!
Wonderful location …quiet, beautiful, and close to Fairystone and other recreation areas. The cabin is very clean and comfortable, and the host provided excellent communication.
Cabin was clean and as advertised. Really enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. Only critique would be to get anti-slip mats for the carpets in the living room.
We had a great time at Greg’s cabin. Everything was clean and thought out for a good stay. Greg was very responsive and provided additional info to help us have a great stay. The view from the cabin is great and we had a nice quiet stay. Would recommend Floyd for some good restaurants and cute shops to peruse.
Nice quiet stay. The house was very clean and just like the pictures. Fairy Stone Park was minutes away with several moderate walks that were just right for us. We were lucky to have several cloudless nights for a clear view of the stars. The place is fine for a couple but we would have felt crowded with more people. Also we cook a lot and while they have a good basic set of pots/pans/plates/flatware/mugs/glasses, we had to bring in most everything else. No cutting board, salt/pepper, dishtowels, or kitchen knives.
We really enjoyed our stay at this awesome cabin -it was perfect for the two of us, clean , comfortable, in the quiet neighborhood, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, with a beautiful view of the mountains. The best was the special tilted back bench on the porch where we could star gaze every night- it was just so relaxing .highly recommended
This cabin is amazing! I was looking for a place to spend a few quiet days and reset. This cabin was perfect. The views were amazing. Even when it rained it was beautiful. I look forward to staying here again.
The cabin was very clean and had a beautiful view. I really enjoyed Fairy Stone State Park and this cabin was in a perfect location. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away and relax.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our extended weekend get away at this beautiful little cabin. The view was amazing and it was so peaceful and quiet the entire weekend. The cabin was clean and cozy, pefect for the two of us.
This was the perfect little getaway to celebrate my husband’s 30th with a quiet weekend with great views.
The place was comfortable and very clean. Has what you need for a wonderful stay.
I had to do a little work while we were here and even the WiFi was able to handle what I needed so that was a pleasant surprise!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We particularly liked the wonderful view and the quiet location. The place is in new condition and very clean. The owner was welcoming, and communication was easy. I highly recommend!
Amazing place that was comfy and cozy. Wonderful views. Would definitely recommend anyone to check this place out. Greg was easy to work with and more than accommodating! Would love to come back in the Fall.
Adorable tiny cabin, closer to the road than we expected but the road is not used much. Bring anything necessary for cooking as there are very limited kitchen supplies. We probably cooked more than most do so this wouldn't be a problem for most. The view was amazing, bed was comfortable, water hot and the place was clean. Definitely worth 5 stars and a second stay!
This is a fantastic cabin with a spectacular view. Enjoyed the solitude of no other houses within view, gives you the feeling of complete privacy. The cabin is very clean with comfortable furniture and plenty of supplies provided that you need for a long stay.
It is within 30 minutes of grocery stores and restaurants. Highly recommend Railway Cafe in Bassett and Pickle & Ash in Stuart. Did some hiking in nearby Fairystone State Park, good trails, moderate difficulty. Would definitely rent this cabin again.
Amazing long-range views of the mountains in a remote setting. Perfect place to unplug from the busyness of life and allow the beauty of nature to replace the cell phone.
We rated the cleaning as three-star primarily due to a miscue with the cleaning company but Greg, the owner, quickly addressed the issue. Stuff happens and it is how it is addressed that separates good from great...
The cabin is as pictured and sits in an area surrounded on 3 sides by trees and mountain valleys. The entire cabin was spotless and looked fairly new. The smell of the wood planks lining the cabin was very calming. Trip times to town or destinations will run shorter during the day but will increase at night. Some/most of the roads have no overhead street lights and no markings. Although warned of potential bear encounters, we saw very little large wildlife during our stay. Lots of birds of prey and smaller wildlife. Wife got excited by the owl hoots the first night there. They echoed through the quiet valley for miles.... Highly recommend. Host (Greg) was very communicative and worked to ensure our stay was cost and time effective. He has truly fashioned a wonderful treasure about 30 mins from the middle of everywhere.
The cabin itself was very cute and clean. No toiletries like soap provided which would have been nice. Usually vrbos will have basic items one may need. The hot water smelled very bad so showering was not pleasant. It smelled like rotten eggs, I am assuming a sulfur smell. Also I did not realize there was no wifi but I had service and it was fine, not a big deal. Great for a weekend but would not want to stay more than a couple of days. The property itself was very pretty but the surrounding "homes" were sketchy looking. At night it was a little warm as there is no AC and I was hesitant to open a window. Out in the middle of nowhere for sure, the nearest store was 27 minutes away so come with supplies. The owner was very responsive and the cabin very clean. Bed and pillows could have been more comfortable but not bad. Great place if you are looking to get off the grid for a while.
